Why is LSU recruiting down this year?

The in-state talent isn’t as good as it normally is. But they aren’t recruiting well out of state either. Just doesn’t make sense as to why Kelly isn’t doing better on the recruiting trail this year.

He'll hit top ten with regularity. Top five occasionally. He's not known as an elite recruiter.

I think your class looks good. Plus, what if this staff is excellent at evaluation? That means all the lower-rated recruits could be gems. I see no reason to doubt the staff this early in their tenure.

Kelly was never an elite recruiter, LSU was never going to recruit like they did under Miles or O

Kelley is not known to be an amazing recruiter he is known for developing a team of good players …. LSU will have enough athletes to compete obviously .

I think folks are still upset about how he popped off to that poor reporter girl who was coming from a doctor's appointment a couple of minutes late to one of his pressers. That wasn't a very good first impression for a new coach. It gave everyone the opinion that he has a bad attitude and not a very personable personality. Maybe that's filtered down to the players as well. No one wants to play for an insensitive arse-hole. I wouldn't...

It's not surprising. In the long term, schools in poor states like Louisiana will struggle in the NIL era.
