Fulmer had to be the worst athletic director ever.

And of course he avoided punishment in this whole ordeal, but it certainly starts at the top.
He may have made a deal with the NCAA to retire and never be an athletic director again. But, he should be culpable in all of this. He absolutely ruined the program he supposedly loves. I’m surprised there aren’t more Tennessee fans trying to run him out of the state.
Serranaux is probably his biggest fan.

Loved those pathetic pics of the Great Pumpkin running around at practice with a whistle.

He has been disassociated from the university he devoted him life to. That’s the harsher punishment in the field.

He is the perfect representative of your fanbase

I don't see that in the agreement.

Hate to say it, but I agree.

His mistake was hiring a Bammer. You can't let those cheating SOBs near your program.

Everyone can stand aside because Ray Tanner is the worst AD in the SEC. Prove me wrong

Have you seen him fundraising? In commercials? At events? On TV? The Vols were at 2 sweet 16s this year, 2 CWS, and a NY6 bowl and Fulmer was not part of any of it. He was forced out as AD and disassociated from the school.
Pruitt killed his legacy at Tennessee. There is no place for him now because of an ignorant piece of shite Bama boy. And it’s a shame.

The powers that be probably told him to lay low until this was all over. Look for him to pop back up.

Something we both agree on. It wasn’t entirely his fault though. He was never qualified for the job to begin with. Dave Hart should have never hired him. So Dave Hart and Fulmer can share the blame here.

The school moved past him. White is an actual, solid, AD. And there are enough personalities in the AD to not need to trot him out. And his is now highly divisive in the fanbase. Many folks never moved beyond the way he got the HC gig to begin with.
But atleast he fricked over Bama harder the the badybackbamabitch could frick over the Vols.

Johnny did it to himself. Fulmer had NOTHING to do with Johnny getting fired.
I have a friend whose late fater was a very influential donor. Stuff named after him on campus donor. He was also very close personal friends with Johnny. He had been friends with Johnny since his playing days.
One night he and his wife came home from a dinner with several powerful donors, school administrators, and coaches.
Apparently Johnny has said and done some very inappropiate things at this dinner. He really showed his arse.
Her father said, "Johnny just killed his job tonight." He was fired within a few days. Johnny's liquored up mouth got him fired, not Fulmer.

Perception is reality for most folks and it looked like Fulmer moved from interim to head coach despite Majors wanting the job back.

That and a player revolt. Johnny was so far out of control at that time that he was pretty well hated on campus. It was no secret he was a mean arse drunk and that was the worst of times for him. I'm glad he got to rehab his image with the public but while everyone blamed Fulmer, Fulmer had one rule for players - no bad mouthing Johnny.
