…okay, as a new guy/itat refugee, I don’t know if prayer requests are a thing here or not. They were always welcome on the SC, and I figure this is Auburn people here too so I ought to be a’ight posting it.

A few weeks ago I had a series of heart tests done, and my stress test came back irregular. I have to go in tomorrow for a left heart cath to see what’s going on. If there are any blockages, they will go ahead and treat. Recovery from the procedure could be from a day if they don’t have to do anything, to 1-2 weeks if they have to place any stents or anything like that.

I’m nervous about the procedure, and I’m nervous about what they may find. I’m just shy of 48 years old with a wife and 3 kids and haven’t even seen my oldest kid all the way through school, so I have a lot to live for.

Anyway, could use some prayers, or good vibes/thoughts if prayer isn’t your thing.

Keep your eyes on the Lord man and teach your children his way. He works all things for good for those called according to his purpose. Ill be praying for you brother that everything goes well and your faith remains in God's promises for you and your family.

Good luck on the tests brother. May the Lord have his hands on you and heal you of any ailments.

I probably need to go have a stress test as well. Anyone above 40 probably needs a good check and definitely if you are over 50.

I had a stress test in November 2021 that Showed ischemic changes, but I never had symptoms.

They did the cath.
I had the widowmaker blockage of LAD and other blockages.

Ended up having aortic valve replacement and 3 bypasses.
The valve had been followed for years. It looked awful, but we decided just to follow since I was able to live my life with minor adjustments.

Good luck.
Let me know if you need open heart surgery.
I made a list of things that might be useful going through that.

Dad had his first heart attack at 31. Heart disease is the number one killer in this country. Combination of poor diet and lack of exercise. Take care of yourselves guys.

Thanks again to all for the prayers. Procedure went well, and showed no blockages! Since no stent, got to come home this afternoon. Blood flow through the heart is slower than normal, which is typical for bp issues. I am already on regiment of bp meds and he recommended no changes.

They ran the cath through my right wrist/up my right arm. I can’t use my right arm at all for 24 hours and can’t lift anything heavier than 5 lbs for a week. That’s pretty much it as far as recovery.

All in all, best case scenario.

There is peace of kind in knowing folks are praying for you in a scary situation. Thank you all once again for lifting me up.

Congrats my friend. Now get that BP under control. I'm as guilty as anyone but with a wake up call like that you might want to live by the motto

Are you living to eat or eating to live...
