Does A&M has one year left to prove they didn’t squander the opportunity…

to establish themselves as a solid SEC team prior to UT arriving or is it too late? IMHO it would take them making the CFP this year to begin to make a case that extending Jimbo wasn’t a total disaster, erasing any edge their early entrance into the SEC provided them over Texas.

A&M has had the last decade to have a 10-win season and they’ve gone 0/10

All their fans need is one win over a team they shouldn’t have beaten to distract themselves from everything else.

They are who they are.

1. A&M has already established itself as "solid". We're either 3rd or 4th in the league in wins since joining with 5 seasons ranked in the Ap or Coaches including 2 top 5 finishes. That screams solid. Good, not great. Not good enough, for sure.

2. t.u. joining doesn't prevent us from staying solid or improving to the next level. If anything things might get easier by taking Bama off the schedule yearly.

When are the dawgs going to get over their fear of Kyle Field? We have been in the SEC for over 10 years and the dawgs have yet to come play in Kyle Field. It has been the place of upsets occasionally but that is no reason to fear it.

They didn't do much with the 10 year head start and
they'll lose the "represent Texas in the SEC" card, but they're still set up very well in the NIL world.

Will they revert to the "beating tu is a successful year" mindset? Probably. But if not, they will challenge every now and then.

And tu did even less in a weak conference.

Yep, A&M left the Big 12 and the conference got much tougher.

Two seasons finishing in the top 5 since they joined. Nobody else in the SEC, save Bama and Georgia, have done that.

Fair point. Texas (assuming you're referring to them and not Townson University) losing their yearly guaranteed win against A&M to finish the season definitely hurt their record since 2012

Hahahaha this is peak Aggy.

“We’ve never won the division or made the CFP, but we finished “ranked #4” in 2020!!!”

Aggy jokes will forever write themselves.

A&M was never going to be elite. They're on the level of an Auburn but without the NC. They'll need a once in a generation QB to win it all like them.

Relative-wise theyre better off today than where they were 10 yrs ago.

Neither will LSUcks. It is hard to be elite when you have to cheat and vacate 4 years of wins.

LSU vacated 4 years of worthless wins and still has 3 more national titles in the 21st century than any breathing Aggy has ever seen

Just to recap: LSU had finished a season ranked in the top 5 fewer times since expansion than A&M has, and that’s true even if we count all those years were they were cheating their asses off. That’s just a fact. I’m really sorry it hurts y’all’s feelings.

LSU doesn’t have to make up mental trophies.

They simply point to the real ones.

Are you acting out because A&M, since joining the SEC, has a better record than LSU?

Does it ever get old having to repeatedly embarrass yourself in attempt to defend your historical embarrassment of a program?
