The SECCG has only been around since 1992. So, charter member or not, every team except Texas A&M and Missouri have had the same amount of time to reach the championship game. And it only took Missouri three years. South Carolina is the only team that's actually made it that's taken longer than 12 years.

So, in other words, your point is fricking stupid and also not a point.

Eh Mizzou doesn't make it those years if they're in the West.

Mizzou came close to beating UGA last season. Anything can happen.

No. Mizzou had a lead, but the outcome of that game was never in doubt.

A&M, because the other 3 have zero shot of every making it.

Why are you saying Vandy is on the outs?

Because the question was about making it the the SECCG in Atlanta. And, while it is certainly a possibility that one of these $ will make it, and that may never happen, Vandy would be my last pick to make it in.

Like watching Lucy pull the football away from Charlie Brown.. Every year since 1939.

A&M should be the answer, but it won’t happen under Jimbo. Vandy will never make it. Ole Miss and Kentucky just missed making it and could get in in a down year for the SEC, but that is going to be even more difficult with the next expansion. If I had to pick one, it would be Ole Miss. I could see Lane putting together a good enough offense at some point to win 6 SEC games which might be enough one year.

Now that it switches to the 2 highest ranked teams, it will be impossible to limp in at 9-3 or whatever.

None. With no divisions, there is no opportunity for a weak sister division winner to sneak in.

Vandy, easily. Per Mapquest, Nashville is slightly less than 250 miles from Atlanta. Almost all on either I-24 or I-75. It's no contest. Vandy - by at least an hour over Ole Miss. The Rebels simply have too long to drive (an additional 80 miles) and no good way to get there. It's another hour yet for the Cats.

Texas A&M never makes Atlanta. Too many secluded rest stops.

A&M and Ole Miss definitely with the leg up with divisions disappearing.

Both would have had teams in Atlanta over the last decade or so if they weren't in the West with Alabama on the biggest dynasty run in the history of the game.

I'm actually going to go with Ole Miss. Kiffen just got a leg up in recruting with Leach no longer competing in state. And Fisher will have tougher in state recruiting competition with Texas joining a real conference and actually having big games to sell recruits.

Kinda makes you wonder why they never go.

No. State is recruiting better with Arnett. So far, anyway.

It was the likes of Will Muschamp and Jim McElwain that kept that from happening though, not Bama.
