There’s no way for anyone to track NIL money

You're a 5 star high school recruits and you have 2 major offers; would you rather take $500,000 to play at Alabama/Georgia/LSU or take $700,000 to play at Oregon/Penn State. Idk about you but I'm going to Alabama where I know I'm gonna be on the big screen every day, coached and pushed by the best players and coaches in the sport and likely win a natty in my career there. The SEC is different, you come here to win and be the best, then move on to be the best at the next level.

I’m in fairness there is no data there, it’s just an image.

I find it hard to believe the SEC doesn’t significantly outperform everyone else. Also, if you want a shot at a major league, and brand recognition, the SEC >>>> anyone else.

It’s all the other money where we thrive.

Someone will draw a completely ignorant connotation to slave labor. If they haven’t already.

I believe the is just the numbers by which athletes get NIL through Opendorse. Kinda misleading in NIL as a whole.

You would think it should be disclosed by each school. Maybe the can’t disclose each individual but at least give a total.

This. That hasn’t stopped the media from sharing it all over social media this weekend though as an accurate snapshot of NIL in total.

Correct, and Opendorse focuses on the non revenue sports which makes that graph totally misleading

Half of that money leaves the Big 12 and comes to the SEC in 2024.
