Maybe for a very limited role. the only way we see Skenes in any type of prolonged situation is if it gets rained out Saturday and they play a third on Tuesday

Once Skenes got pulled, the cracks started to show and Wake was able to get runners on bases. Johnson would be a complete moron not to play Skenes against UF. He's the reason why LSU has gotten this far. Without him they wouldn't have made it out of the regionals.

I mean I know they want to win but you have to be careful with the kid. He has a long MLB career ahead of him and you can’t be reckless with his arm. I could see him close out game 3 or maybe get an extended 3 innings in game 3 at max. He’s no doubt going to want to go in so the staff might need to protect him from himself to an extent.
