OP thinks he is clever, yet sniffs his own farts.
His lamentations are pathetic.

Yeah, cause helping children isn’t near as important as sports figures, right? Right?

Pediatricians don’t save lives they just prescribe antibiotics. Once things get over their head they pass on the truly tough stuff to specialists.

I read the whole quote.
He could’ve easily conveyed that lack of regulation in NIL is an issue without pulling the “BUT THE CHILDREN” card.
Also seems a bit hypocritical when he’s making a hell of lot more than his pediatrician brother in law himself.

The statement was definitely given without context. Still, it's bizarre to compare NIL recipients to your brother-in-law pediatrician. The saves lives part is too much also.

The full quote (since some of yins can’t copy and paste)
I do wonder if he has the same concern about making as much as he does a year while not “saving lives”. Rising coaching salaries are part of what pushed NIL into the open.
Thats still not even the full quote, that's how badly Ross has handled this.

Drink gives an answer around how unproven players are making more money than actual doctors, and with that comes consequences including bad actors who want a piece of the pie when coming into sports betting (that has already been an actual issue at other programs) and that he understands that its going to be something that he and the program will need to work on for it not being a distraction or issue.
Somehow that gets turned around into Drink is against players getting payed.
Drink is the last coach that is against NIL, where he actually worked with Missouri legislation to pass unique to only Missouri NIL laws. Somehow sports betting is still illegal in Missouri.

This dude actually said he's a history teacher by trade.
He really is a less clever version of Lane Kiffin.
