It's pretty pathetic after hearing from their fans for years that Saban was the only one that wanted a 9 game season and everyone else was scared.

Member the days when Bear Bryant would schedule an extra conference game to give Bama an advantage if 2 teams in conference would go undefeated? I member...

Is there a link to this? I haven't been able to follow this as closely as some of you guys. Did Bama say something about it?

He did not want his three games to be Auburn, LSU and UT. 3 of the big 6.. Most others play 2.

Which is ridiculous considering he plays them every year anyway. We all know Nick wanted Vandy or Kentucky. He definitely had something to do with the SEC not going to 9 games.

Ours were supposedly UGA, SCar, and OU. No offense to the Sooners but I'd rather keep LSU over them.

Can you blame him? This LSU “rivalry” wasn’t even relevant until the 2000s. Not giving us MSU who is 90 miles down the road makes zero sense.

Ah the great Alabama-Mississippi St Rivalry. Always look forward to watching that one.

Florida having to play Oklahoma every year would be a joke. Much better to keep the UF/LSU rivalry. If, for some reason, that would be unworkable, it would be better to bring back the UF/Auburn rivalry, which was also one of the great SEC rivalries before it was scrapped back in 2002.

Dude, y’all are getting OM, A&M, and Arkansas. I think every school in the conference would take that for your 3 permanent.

That wouldn't be fair to Auburn though.

Not for me as a season ticket holder I don’t give a rats arse about going to some game against A&M or Arky. I want to see some combination of OM, Bama, UF, and Auburn but I know it’s a pipe dream.

My Big Orange heart bleeds for him. We have been playing the Gumps, Leghumpers, and Gayturds every year for 3 decades.

Where’d you get this? I’ve never seen Ark listed as a potential permanent for LSU in the 3-6 format.

Alabama, Georgia, and Florida every year would be a rough go for it for Auburn for sure. For what its worth, my dad is a huge Auburn fans and wants to see Auburn play those three. He's just one guy, though, and (perhaps thankfully for Auburn) does not make any decisions for them.
I will say this about scheduling, they have to find a way to get UGA/Auburn back to November. DSOR on Sept 30th does not feel right at all. UGA played Auburn in Auburn back to back in 2012 and 2013. Have Auburn play in Athens back-to-back in 2024 and 2025, fix Auburn's deal where they play UGA and Bama on the road in the same years, and bring the DSOR back into the yellow leaf and chilly season.
