Shut the frick up, Dana. Just shut the frick up. Everyone reported you tried to trade him

He’s starting with the bullshite early. I guess he figures if he keeps it up year round the fans will just become numb to it.

So we’re just going to turn Paredes and Walker (and I could see Correa being part of this too with he and Paredes spelling each other at 3B) into part time players?

He said he doeant want yainer being a DH as much but having more full days off.

Outstanding. All the days off last year were a key contributor to our low rate of injuries.

From where I sat, it looked like the field goal split the uprights.

I still think he made it.

They had the shorter uprights back then. Made it harder to tell.

The Padres were basically the Astros of the NL. Pretty average, low strikeouts a bunch of singles, low power. Cool.

Worse team OPS than the Astros.

Astros and LSU hiring processes are equally trainwrecks.

If he believed the accuser was not credible, then why kick the accusation up the chain of command? In any case anybody saying Ausberry was involved in the "scandal" is a drama queen claim. He did not have anything to do with injuring the claimant.

The player literally texted VA and admitted to hitting his girlfriend. VA then called the player, who he says recanted his statement saying he hit her. Who the frick admits to something in a text, then in a call says “oh wait I didn’t do what I said in the text.” VA admitted he mishandled the situation and was suspended. Nothing to do with any accusation or accuser. He didn’t do what he was supposed to….period.

There were text messages that show lsu knew he hit her. Davis texted Verge directly stating this

Yep.

Said in another thread last night, media will be all over this. One response said to ignore it and they would move on to something else. Now I hate the media and when it’s them speculating, embellishing, getting their feelings hurt or outright lying as they often do, ignoring them is good strategy. But that isn’t the case here. There is real meat on the bone. This happened. They’re going to come down on individuals (especially coaches of women’s sports) who aren’t taking a stand against him being hired. And as I said before, they have a point.

They posted a scathing article when he was appointed interim. I can only imagine what’s next. I think there is going to be significant negative press and pushback on this. I almost wouldn’t be surprised if LSU has to backtrack on this decision. There’s no good response or excuse.

Exactly.

After they crucify LSU in general, they’ll move to the female coaches…especially Mulkey. “How can you support this? How do you look your team in the eye?” And it’s a fair point.

Also, look for them to go after any big name football coach who considers going to work for such a guy. And again, it’s a fair point.
Pass interference on virtually every pass at the college and NFL level. It’s just a matter of whether they get away with it or not. Players know it is not going to be called every time. Even “good” defensive plays are often with a defender draped all over the receiver.

Now granted, the NFL sort of brought this on themselves when they eliminated bump and run.

PCers have to have a flow for the game and Sloan is one of the worst OCs I've seen at LSU in decades. He has zero feel for the game

Exactly

Ordinarily I’m not a fan of the play not to lose mentality. But consider this…if Sloan (and Kelly) were really paying attention they’d have seen that A&M was moving the ball at will. Two great individual plays on defense and a botched snap stopped drives by them but on average, we were not stopping them. And we don’t have a dynamic offense to keep up with them. So limit their possessions as much as possible. Not only would running the ball help with that, we’d actually had success with it. Would we have won? Probably not. But it definitely would have given us a better chance and maybe the stadium isn’t empty by the end of the 3rd Q.
quote:

I agree...to think that is the 3 plays called during that TO sequence is mind boggling.

Yup. And the thing about it is, the fault is on multiple levels…a 5th year senior QB constantly wasting time outs, an OC with no apparent situational awareness, and a HC who hears these plays being called, does nothing to override them, then bitches about it after they happen.
quote:

But ok what about the 3rd & call before half with no timeout?

Think about what a royal goatfrick that entire sequence was:

After Durham’s long run, Nuss calls a TO with plenty of time left on the play clock (already our 2nd because he wasted one on 3rd and a mile on our first possession)

After an incomplete pass, a running play is called forcing us to use our final TO

Then a pass play short of the stick. Incomplete was the best possible result there because if it’s caught inbounds, we have to rush the FG team out….oh and I’m sure that would have been a clown show in itself. :rotflmao:
quote:

LSU still gives up too many 3rd down conversions, a lot of them in yardage situations that SHOULD give the defense a great chance to stop.

Didn’t they flash a stat that A&M was ranked like 116 or something converting 3rd and 6 or more? And then we proceeded to give them up all night.

Is it more Sloan or Brad Davis?

Cheater vs Cheater. Can they both lose? Not rooting for either one. Rooting for Manfred to ban both franchises for cheating.

Judge has had the better postseason (multiple hits in six out of seven games)

Judge got a bunch of singles and exactly one game changing hit. Is that what they need him to do? Or do they need him to be David Eckstein??

quote:

he has a stacked team

lol. Like the Yankees lineup isn’t stacked?

1st in runs, HR, SLG and OPS. Contrary to what you think, Judge didn’t do that by himself.
