Women's softball?
Might as well throw in tennis and golf.
I assume its inclusion is because it's kind of like men's baseball, but not nearly as popular.

This can’t be right, I don’t see that college Power Georgia. Oh that’s right, they don’t care.

Softball - no no no, I'm not ready to waste my time on it. It's similar to baseball, but it's nowhere near as interesting. At least for me.

Interesting how he cherry picks the ones that make Bama look good. You can come up with a lot of different combinations. Also just making a postseason event is one thing, more importantly did you do well in it?

Yeah, our MBB has a ... little issue hanging over their heads currently that might keep us off this list for another year or two.

Congrat's that is definitely an achievement!
Making the post season isn't such a big deal in one sport, but across the board is completely different.

Where’s Georgia? Asking for a friend with a mouth big enough to make any Aggie jealous.

Football, baseball, men’s and women’s basketball. Yep, he is really cherry picking.
And what is the fifth most popular sport across the SEC? Is it not softball? It’s not golf, track and field, equestrian, volleyball, or tennis. Maybe gymnastics?

I used to watch volleyball when the Brazilian and Cuban women basically wore tangas as uniforms. Yeah, I’m a male chauvinist pig. And my wife wouldn’t have me any other way!

Women’s beach volleyball is great viewing. But people are not watching it because they care one damn about the volleyball. I mean, bikini car washes are great viewing too. And that isn’t even a sport.
Back to the original question, based on how much softball is shown on espn and the sec network, I have to think it is #5. And LSU does seem to care about softball, they were number 4 in attendance in 2022. Alabama was number one with over 90,000 total fans attending games.
Softball Attendance Numbers -2022 per NCAA
LSU also cares about gymnastics. They were number one in attendance in 2023. Over 60,000 fans attended LSU gymnastics meets.

It's by far the 5 largest and most popular sports in the SEC. Gymnastics is the 6th but not everyone competes in it. Basically everyone on this list finished in the top 10 in that, too
What exactly would you like to add? Unless you want it to be tennis or volleyball then I have bad news for you, Alabama made the tournament in it. Some of you have so convinced yourself that Alabama sucks in everything but football that accepting the real world is difficult. Cross country, track, soccer, swimming, golf......I mean we can if you want. Just let me know.

Isn’t that odd? It’s a myth that continues to be parroted, but isn’t based in any reality. I suppose it’s done as a way to rationalize Bama’s dominant run in football.
