LSU has made the Final Four 4 times.
They have an 0-4 record in those games.
Super duper impressive.

The top 10 is mostly traditional basketball programs, a little surprised Georgetown is so low.
Not surprising the traditional football schools are so low or not listed.
It was the mid 70s before basketball became a priority here and money was spent improving facilities and such.

What’s better?
4 wins in the Elite 8 or 0 wins in the Elite 8?

This is true. There is no question Bama basketball has historically underachieved come NCAAT time. You can legitimately say Bama is a distant #2 to Kentucky historically in the SEC, but the reality is Arkansas, Florida and even LSU have had more tournament success. Even auburn managed a Final Four once.

Didn't check all the teams. But, looks like North Carolina is the only program to average 20+ wins a season.

How far down the list is Florida? Wow

Didn't Miss State, about a decade or so ago?
As for SEC pecking order, the way I recall it (going back to the 1970's):
Kentucky massive #1
LSU was 2 in the late 70s-80s, and Dale had them pushing Kentucky hard.
Arkansas, upon admission, pushed past LSU, basically on the strength of Todd Day and Corliss Williamson, and 40 Minutes of Hell.
Florida surged with Billy Donovan, for a brief moment taking the conference. Funny how they mirror what football did with Spurrier; ascend from nowhere to take over, then fade back.
Tennessee has moments, but always regular season.
UGA too, not as often.
Now you have Auburn, and Alabama emerging.
There's really no reason for these programs not to consistently win 20 games a season (except UGA, which seems to have written off basketball for now).

Not sure what it was like at other schools, but UF didn’t have a full time basketball coach until the 60’s.

I’ll take Florida’s Basketball resume over OU’s.
