We'll trade you our basketball resume for your football resume. Sounds fair to me.

Not at all surprising to see Kentucky with the best winning percentage of all time.

This is true. There is no question Bama basketball has historically underachieved come NCAAT time

It’s a pretty amazing streak of futility. Especially considering some of the NBA level talent which has passed through.

Those Billy Donovan teams were fantastic. I miss the days when you would see multiple NBA level guys play together for more than a year in college.

I'd happily take not only Florida's basketball resume over Alabama's but also LSU's and Oklahoma's who both have far better NCAA tournament resumes and better all time players (especially LSU) despite having fewer all time wins over Alabama's resume. As an Alabama fan, I'm envious of LSU and Oklahoma's overall body of work as a program and I might take Missouri's more consistent all time NCAA tourney resume over Alabama's despite them having significantly less all time wins than Alabama and being 1st or 2nd all time in the number of NCAA tourney appearances without a Final 4. Tennessee is a wash because Tennessee and Alabama are practically identical programs all time. Obviously would take Kentucky, Arkansas, and Florida as well. The rest of the SEC is significantly behind Alabama even if they have the one off fluke Final 4 appearance.

Interesting research.

Maybe Kentucky, Duke, UConn, Auburn, and Kansas will
convene to determine if your team is worthy of being a blue blood some day.

Every team ahead of Arkansas began playing earlier, by as much as 29 years. We're tied for 11th when you sort by win pct.

Amazing. I had no idea we didn't start playing until 1924! Only one other school on the list started later: Murray State in 1926.

Arkansas has only played at 100 years of basketball.

Arkansas had some final fours in the 40s but still didn't put much emphasis on basketball until Sutton.

Just noticed that. That's impressive. Alabama is ranked 26th all time by winning percentage.
