The biggest revenue producer among college sports is no surprise: It’s football. College football brings in an average of $31.9 million per school per year, financial website Zacks.com reported. That’s an eye-popping number, but it’s even more impressive when you see that number is more than the next 35 college sports combined.

And yet you keep posting about a sport you supposedly don't care about in a thread specifically about that sport you supposedly don't care about. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

I’d rather root for a university that is competitive in multiple sports.
You ought to do that then. What university you picking to root for?

I’m not surprised. They’ve about priced the grass root fanbase out of going if they are far enough to where they have to stay a night. And the ticket prices are high for a family of four or more.
Plus televised games are cool with a group of people and the grill going. This is my favorite.

As well as MLB,NBA,NASCAR and the NFL.
MLS is the only significant (and I use that term loosely)pro sport showing a steady increase in attendance

Football won’t matter in 10 years…on its way out. Other SEC schools recognize this and are adjusting; UGA doubling down on a dying sport.

And they need to improve the in stadium
experience.I went to 5 UGA games last year and only one at home. The rest were at MCB in Atlanta or TIAA in Jacksonville and both places were a far superior venue. No bench seats, better concessions, better restroom facilities, etc. If you're gonna charge a premium price you better have a premium facility.

With the new generation coming up, it will further decline.
