If you were the AD at Ole Miss who would you hire?
Beard? Wade? Steve Forbes? Dusty May?

What’s Gregg Marshall up to?

Will Wade would be a slam dunk, Beard ain’t going to Ole Miss. He’s cleared now and can wait for a top job to open up.

Would be happy with Beard or Wade. It’s not like we are some storied basketball program that is above giving one of them a second chance. In fact the ole miss job would be the place you go to rehab that image to get to an elite next job.

Don't know why Ole Miss wouldn't go after Pitino?

May is the only coach on this list that's attainable for ole miss.

I love your inside knowledge of our program and what we can do.

On another note, why are ole miss fans so bitchy?

It’ll be Wade and you guys are getting a great hire. I’ll be jealous while I’m watching this boring frick at LSU completely tank us into the dark ages.

Pitino is 70 years old. Don’t see that happening. It will be an interesting search. I am a State alum & fan but I want both of our schools to be successful so that when we play each other the game means more.
That said, a retread like Beard and Wade are IMHO, not going to be the coach.
I think you might see a young energetic type coach hired and possibly someone that you may not be familiar with. Just my gut feeling. It seems like the program needs a shot in the arm.

Hard to get a sense right now…it’s not a bad job…low expectations, nice arena, good college town….it may be a more attractive gig than some think.

You'll get someone that none of us have ever heard of, and you'll like it

Dave Bliss?
I mean apparently anything goes in the SEC now.

I’m not touching Beard with a 10-foot pole. That situation is ripe for another DV charge or worse in the next few years if they stay together. I’d be leery as shite as an AD over that this soon after.
I say you make Pitino tell you no. Dusty May would be a good hire. Casey Alexander at Belmont would be worth a call IMO.

South Carolina has a better basketball tradition than we do, and they just hired a nobody so who knows. SC being pathetic in basketball and baseball is getting pretty sad.

Beard isn't a retread. The guy is probably top 5 coach in college basketball that coaches his wife too rough
