His team struggled mightily for 3 and a half quarters, but they turned it on in the final 3 minutes or so.
AJ was dealing.

Did Musburger call the game? I will never forget that time...

Crazy ending, he just needed 3 quarters and some change to warm up

Did they win? I turned it off at 15-3. His offensive line was horrible.
Wow.
Wow.

Looks like he also converted the 4th and 15 which is that league’s substitute for an onside kick

Dang, I quit watching when it was 15-3 late and he had 74 yards passing with an OL that looked like it was borrowed from the Patriots.

That's when I stopped watching too. My bad.

when the reporter commented "He can't even get into his stance before he's getting hit" I turned it off as well. Wish I'd have stuck with it.

It always puzzled me why AJ couldn't crack an NFL starting spot. I know he started a few games for Denver but that was about it. Always a professional back-up.

Bengals*.
His career took a nosedive after the Bengals were late on the paperwork to trade him to the Browns. Hue Jackson thought highly of him, and were giving up a 2nd and 3rd for him.

He was about to win a playoff game for Bengals as a starting QB, when two of their Defensive players committed dumb penalties to lose the game. If he had won that game his career could have taken a different path. Hope I am recalling the game correctly.

quote:You are. It was Vontaze Burfict and Adam (Pacman) Jones. With a 1 point lead there was a stupid unnecessary roughness penalty by VB on a Pitt receiver that was accompanied by an unsportsmanlike penalty by Jones with a few seconds left. The 30 yards gave Pitt the opportunity to kick a 35 FG. The Bengals likely had the game won till he imploded. But you're right, it would have likely changed AJ's career for he had played very well under great pressure. It was a pity.

He came across very well in that interview. I’m gonna keep rooting for them.
