My quote from last week. . .

"Forewarning to everyone, there’s a decent chance RW will give some quotes to reporters in Tuscaloosa this weekend that they will EAT UP making them think he’s going to sign with them. If he’s going for maximum shock value on signing day he might even “recommit” to them this weekend.

It has always been a game and will continue to be one until he signs with Auburn."

Bama bound with a 10% chance of landing him. All depends on if we pull out all the stops and pay up.

Honestly, Auburn should pay whatever it takes to get him on campus. The perception in state and nationally would be worth every penny.

We already have 2, 5* receivers coming in. How important is it to land 3?

IF its a cash flow deal, Id rather see them buy a QB

We aren’t getting a QB because they’re using the money for all these top 5 portal OL and DL we don’t have on campus. Remember?

Pretty damn important. Try to see beyond position needs and surface level viewpoints.

More like we are spending the money on the 2025 class and addressing those OL and DL needs through the high school ranks

Yea, I get that it helps with future recruits but why is his recruitment so much more important than the two we already pulled from our rivals and landed?

I the that its cool to stand on their throat and choke them out but it seems like a ton of energy for something that we already have. Position wise

With nobody to throw to these guys, how long will they stay? We dont have anyone this year and if Freeze plays Thorne all year, we will once again be starting over again next year at QB. If I were a 5* WR, Id be paying attention to that

It's honestly a good plan, and Hugh Freeze has been pretty honest about it. Hugh believes in high school recruiting and that pays off the most in the long run. Consistently recruiting top 5 classes year after year is what builds championship rosters and makes you an elite team year in and year out. You can absolutely go crazy in the portal like FSU did last year, or Ole Miss and Ohio State this year, if you have a solid returning roster and you want to make a run at Championship in the next year. But Auburn's roster isn't there yet. We are two years removed from some of the worst recruiting classes in Auburn history. We are much better off crushing it on the recruiting trail in 2024 and 2025 and setting ourselves up for the 2025 and 2026 seasons. If you are looking through it from that lense, then it makes a lot of sense to allocate the majority of your NIL money and resources on HS recruits as well as giving those guys opportunities to gain experience in the next year.

Stidham owes us a good prediction after he constantly nagged us about Perry to Bama.

Yeah, and how did that work out for Billy Napier? Another crappy season, and his top 5 class fell apart.

Jlee dropped RW to 25%. Random poster claimed RW was offered 500k in NIL and a 250k signing bonus to shut things down.
