I agree, knowing what my nephew was offered to stay for his last year. RW's ranking and talent level at WR suggests it would be 2 to 3 times that.

What cracks me up was all the bama fans saying how Auburn was buying their class and the amounts of NIL they are paying some of the recruits will cause unrest in the locker room

I asked what his final number was and was told we didnt know. I would guess in the neighborhood of 800k-1.25MM in NIL and a 500k signing bonus with plenty of performance incentives for additional bonuses.

Sounds about right. They are paying to get a huge win for the new coach and fan base to stay stable.

If the passing guru were to lose to lowly talented Auburn for a high profile recruit like RW, the fan base would go ape shite.

Technically we have one 5* receiver coming in.

Perry is still a 5* composite on 247

A lot of panic coming in from all sides. They obviously gave him their big NIL offer.

Has he canceled the Auburn visit?

Well our money guys are looking at it like, man, do we really want to spend that kind of money on a WR when we already signed a fricking amazing WR class or do we spend that money and secure the lines from next year. Its a balancing act.

eta: plus we are in it for other 5 star WRs for the 2025 class as well

It’s coming and you know it. Kid loves bammer for whatever reason. Can’t fault him after seeing our offense last year.

In that case, I hope he enjoys his career at bama.

Performance incentives aren’t legal at all, you can’t have NIL deals based off of performance. Chex talking out of his arse with that statement.

has absolutely nothing to do with it. Nothing at all.

Its his relationship with Mbakwe and the money. Thats it.
