Y’all are gonna find out that Golding wasn’t the problem.

Saban wants to call defense like Les Miles and Houston Nutt are the offensive gurus in the league. Now you’ve got Petrino and Freeze on top of Kiffin, Briles, Heupel and Kelly. You’ll have top ten defenses like you did with Golding, but offense ain’t going back to what it was five years ago.

Yeah, but you're an Ole Miss fan. What would you know?

Oh contraire I believe y’all are about to find out Golding wasn’t the answer

anyone with eyeballs can see that BOB is the actual problem.
that doens't mean that bama can't and won't do better than golding though. He was a small hindrance that they need to overcome, while BOB is literally an anchor around the program.

Thanks for the heads up, but we know elite defense when we see it. We've seen it with Smart/Pruitt, it wasn't there with Pete.
He's not a bad coach, and he'll be fine with you guys, but we know what a problem looks like. And the last 4 years were a problem that never corrected.

Congrats on the pick up, deep down we are all really sad about it.

Uh huh. Have fun watching your best pass rusher, whoever he is, inexplicably drop into pass coverage at the worst possible time.

Golding is straight up arse and the earlier you accept that as a fact the easier it will be for you to come to terms with a 7 win season in the fall

Just remember, It wasn’t Pete Golding that Freeze and manziel were cooking 6-7 years ago. Now you’ve got six offenses like that on your schedule every year.

Or when your best pass rusher runs interior stunts!

Golding’s LBs were great. It was the DBs that got absolutely lit up and you’ll never guess who is responsible for them!

That's correct, Kirby/Pruitt's defenses did occasionally get cooked by really good offenses. Still do.
What they didn't do was get cooked by middling/pretty good offenses like Arkansas, Texas A&M, LSU and Auburn of this past season. And there in lies the biggest difference.

Maybe if you show this post to Golding at the bar he will pick up your tab ??

This. People keep bringing up how we lost 2 games on the final play but keep forgetting all of the busted plays, missed tackles, bad schemes that helped put us into those positions.

You can’t honestly look at the talent and experience he had on the 2022 defense and believe he wasn’t the problem.

That was Kirby, he seems to be doing ok.

Saban should be calling his own defense. He would be much better than Golding.

whoever that DC was must've been real arse. Probably out of a job by now.

Golding's ILBs? The ones he coached? The position where we used to churn out 1st and 2nd round picks every year and haven't had one in the last 4 years?
Listen guys, glad you are happy. Seems like a good transaction for both sides. Trying to "WELL ACKSHULY" us about Pete Golding and our complaints is not gonna work.

Golding was the ILB coach, and they have been pretty bad. Golding did not coach the OLBs, who have been extremely good.
