… on a 3 game losing streak?

A 5 loss SEC West “Champion” seems like a rarity in these parts.

Special note to Sideways Tigger, since you’re a college football reporter who covers college football… would you invest some time and energy to uncover the facts?

Who knows, this may be a first ever record of some sort we can all celebrate together!

I’m not surprised by your lack of knowledge about SEC West champion history.

LSU playing in the SECCG this season makes the case for moving away from the "division champs" model for the SECCG moving forward. They clearly didn't belong.

Interestingly enough.. there has been.

Arkansas in 2006 finished with a loss to LSU to go 7-1 in regular season conference play, then a loss to Florida in the SECCG and then a bowl game loss to Wisconsin.

The losses were 31-26 to #8 LSU, 38-28 to #4 and eventual national title winners Florida and 17-14 to #5 Wisconsin.

Edit:

Arkansas also did this in 1995. We ended the year losing to LSU, Florida and North Carolina. We started the year by losing to SMU, so no idea how we won the West to begin with.

Christmas Eve and aggies are sitting around looking for holes to poke in LSU making the SEC champ game

Christmas Eve, and aggies are thinking about LSU.

I guess that is to be expected from a fan base that hasn’t won a conference championship since the Clinton administration.

I am ready to watch the Aggies in their bowl game. What time does it come on?

Had Nick Saban simply paid just a little less attention to his outside business interests, we wouldn't have had this aberration.

No doubt he regrets it. No doubt he won't let it happen again.

Has Aggie ever won the SEC West? We know they know about ending the season on losing skids.

You know what’s even more of a rarity, a Texas 5&7 SEC West championship….

Really wish we would've taken the aggies half-seriously.

Thanks to my tigers complacency, the aggies are geared up for yet another offseason championship.

fAggie can’t get bowl eligible in the fifth year of your $100 mil coach and you’re worried about LSU?

Not surprisingly, Aggies have no clue on the history of SEC West champions.

Did 5-7 put a trophy in the case for a win against LSU?

It's because they've never won anything so they don't feel a need to read up on history.

Has there ever been an SEC team that paid so much for its players and then 40 percent of them quit the program?

Perhaps your team should’ve played better during the season then
