This is true. I worked outside in upper Michigan when temperatures were in single digits and it was more tolerable than 20’s down here. The wind and 20’s in Chicago coming off the lake will make you holler y’all quit….and it’s the same down here…
The thing about weather in the south this time of year is if you don’t like it just wait a couple of hours and it will change. It’s 19 here now and forecast to be in the high 60’s by Wednesday.
Though it can be uncomfortable, many of us like to have seasons, and cold weather is welcomed to help keep these damn bugs down. I’d rather wear a coat than swat mosquitoes….haha..

Had a 70 yr old man from Philly tell me once that the coldest he's ever been was here in Mobile Al. He said that the cold just goes to the bones here. The humidity here just amplifies the cold just as it makes the heat worse

You are spot on Iron Mind. I remember when the Vikings came to play the Chiefs in NOLA in one of the earlier Super Bowls. The temperature was in the 40's with high humidity and a bit of wind. I was standing out in the open losing some money at the Fairgrounds; the Minnesota people kept telling me that they were cold.

I've only seen a pro game inside of the Dome.. but remember many Senior Bowl games where it should have been illegal to even be out in that misery ??
