Just awful. I'm praying that he kicks out despite everything I've read here and elsewhere today

Very sad for Leach and his family. I thought he didn't look well during the Egg Bowl.
Just started to read this thread... so he had a cardiac issue at home, went to OCH and coded during the cath procedure, airlifted to UMMC and coded there again? Presumed brain dead and on life support until family arrives? Is that a correct summary?

It's so sad. He isn't just our football coach, he is America's football coach.

I’ve been regularly checking this thread since hearing the news yesterday, hoping for some positive news.
Just wanted to let our other brothers in maroon know that we’re praying. The world is a better place with Mike Leach in it.
Miracles happen.

Horrible news. Leach should be well respected as a coach and person.

God bless him, probably the most down to earth coach in the SEC in a long long time

some deaths you hear about and its unfortunate, but you quickly move on in your life. others leave a lasting indelible mark on your life moving forward and the world seems less bright with these people no longer on this planet. I realized this after losing someone recently that I grew up with, but they weren't family. it leaves a mark...Mike Leach was one of those people.

I’m going to stick with the old saying of “no news is good news”. Keep fighting Coach Leach.

From Steve R. on 247:

I am told that the Mississippi State assistant coaches who have been out recruiting have been told to return to Starkville.

Truly saddened by the death of a good friend and special man. Mike Leach will always remain special in my heart and the hearts of many. Not only a unique and talented coach, but one who taught life lessons to so many young men whose lives he changed for the better. Rest In Peace
