Most fans think he is surrounded by an immense amount of talent and its the only reason for his success. He has 2 freak TE's. There's a committee of RB's and his Oline is absolutely HUGE! No need to even mention his defense. If you take every QB currently considered in the top 10, they would likely have better numbers than SB at UGA.
Not a single draft scout has him in their top 10 QB rankings. Matter of fact, look at the all QB's in the heisman race and look at their draft projections. Who is the lowest projected QB?
If SB had average TE's and mediocre RB's, he wouldn't elevate UGA enough to get them to a playoff. He's not able to pit them on his shoulders and making average players around him look better. Its not who he is.

SB is surrounded by a plethora of talent. Even his bad plays work out with the immense amount of talent he's surrounded with. There's a simple reason he's not on draft boards.
I challenge any SB supporter to name a single QB in the top 10 draft projections who wouldn't look as good or perform as well if they were inserted into his slot at UGA.

Some rivals might’ve ripped Stetson a little last year but nobody was worse than his own fanbase. Dude kept winning and the majority of UGA fans kept screaming for JT Daniels

Name me one Heisman finalist that wasn't surrounded by a stellar cast, just 1. There's a reason Bryce Young isn't a finalist despite being IMHO, the most talented QB I've ever seen. He doesn't have the supporting cast, so you can toss your point out the window.

The firestorm is because despite having great numbers for a qb who only played in the first 3 quarter of most games, he never got the "media darling" hashtag and thus the national publicity. Couple this with public ignorance outside the SEC, the label "walk-on" with the term Heisman Finalist and you get a backlash firestorm. If people actually looked at his stats before firing off a tweet ....
