Uhhhh, it wasn't a UGA fan that made the comment you are referring to, but don't let the truth get in the way of you vitriol.

Why do you care if people on the internet likes your QB?

Wtf? You people are too deep in this shite. It's weird.

If people found ways to hate Tebow then this, sadly, shouldn’t surprise you.

People who don’t like him can make up a bunch of excuses, but it’s primarily because he’s super white with a super white elite sounding name. Maybe it’s in their subconscious, or maybe they directly are aware of it, but that’s why some people don’t like him, and that is a shame.

Very feel good story with Bennett overcoming all the odds and winning a National Championship and MVP award as the starting Q.B for UGA. The team he dreamed of playing for as a kid. I was very critical of Bennett when he continued to get the start over J.T. Up until the fumbled in Natty and was sitting alone on the end if the bench. Next series back he dropped a bomb in stride to AD for a score, I knew it was over for Bama then. He proved to me he was the heart and soul of this team. There's not a more deserving player in the game today that deserves this award.

He’s beaten almost every team in the SEC. They’re salty.

I hope he wins it. The Heisman has been awarded as a career award before. 2 years of undefeated regular season in the best conference in the world deserves it.

Stetson is surrounded by 5* athletes making him look good.

I like Stetson, but he’s far from heisman worthy.

You should follow recruiting better. Most of his supporting cast are not 5 stars.

As a Ga fan I have never been a huge Stetson fan but criteria for Heisman is excellence, perserverence, dilligence and hardwork. Think the last 3 criteria put him where is is. Still think Bryce Young meets all 3 and is best QB football player.

Hey FatDawg and the five morons who upvoted him, y’all looked at a map of your stadium yet?

He absolutely deserves it for that. Glad your fan base is finally seeing it.

I challenge any SB supporter to name a single QB in the top 10 draft projections who wouldn't look as good or perform as well if they were inserted into his slot at UGA.

Anthony Richardson and Will Levis, for 2 that I have familiarity with.

ETA: just looked at a list that had Bo Nix and the Stanford QB in the top 10. Definitely wouldn’t take them over Bennett either. Hooker is a maybe and not familiar enough with the others outside of Young and Stroud.

I know he won’t win but love that he is invited. His stats could be much better if he needed to play 4 quarters.

There are not a lot of 5 stars playing on offense.

The defense is another story. But the offense? No.

On offense, we have Broderick Jones at LT and Darnell Washington at TE playing. That's it.

Our highest rated WR (Dom Blaylock, high 4 star) has had 2 ACL surgeries.
He is our 5th leading receiver.

Our next highest rated WR broke his leg in half against Florida 2020 (Marcus Rosemy-JackSaint). He is our 2nd leading receiver. He has been our X since our best receiver (3 star AD Mitchell) has a high ankle sprain from game 1 this season.

Our leading receiver is a 3 star with an offer from Vandy (Ladd McConkey).

Our third leading receiver is Kearis Jackson (mid 4 star) who has battled hamstring issues for 2 seasons (broken wrist before that).

Our 4th leading receiver is Dillon Bell at backup X receiver (3 star true freshman).

Our top 2 running backs are low 4 stars (Kenny McIntosh and Daijun Edwards).

Our OL has 3 star Devon Willock platoon with low 4 star Xavier Truss at left guard. Right tackle is low 4 star Warren McClendon.

We have elite talent (5 stars and high 4 stars) at LT, C, RG, TE (3 deep) and 3rd string RB (who is always coming off injury).
We have elite talent on the bench (backup QBs, RT, and injured OLB)

10 of our 15 five stars are on defense.

7 of our contributing 9 five stars are on defense.

Not a single draft scout has him in their top 10 QB rankings. Matter of fact, look at the all QB's in the heisman race and look at their draft projections. Who is the lowest projected QB?

He can go top 10 QB in the upcoming draft.

Why not?

If SB had average TE's and mediocre RB's, he wouldn't elevate UGA enough to get them to a playoff. He's not able to pit them on his shoulders and making average players around him look better. Its not who he is.

He won the job because the offensive line couldn't protect the QB long enough. He is the best QB on our roster at improvising since 2017 (he was scout team baker mayfield).

We do not have elite wide receivers.
Our running backs are low 4 stars.
He is the ball distributor to these average SEC jags.
But he also changes plays and reverses the field all the time. He is an OC on the field (sometimes to the chagrin of the OC).

The biggest credit goes to Todd Monken (OC) who created this offense that can be elite at everything. I don't know how well Stetson would do with a crappy playcaller. Monken has been installing this thing since 2020 in zoom meetings.

Why won't he win? Other than maybe Duggan, he's the most deserving out of the 4 based on the fact that none of the other 3 accomplished anything. Stroud getting in is a joke and once again proves that this thing is a popularity contest. He was anointed preseason, and did absolutely frick all to deserve it other than playing with the most talented receiving core in a league that only defends the run well.

The guy's perseverance is legend.

He explains it by saying I just like to play football.
It does not seem to be more complicated than that.

I have no idea if coaching is in his future plans or not.

The Heisman thing is something I have never paid much attention to.
I often have not known who won it until Sunday morning following the ceremony.
