I’m okay with Freeze and will support him

But you gotta admit he’s got about as sleazy a reputation as anyone in college football, maybe ever. Not saying he hasn’t been “redeemed” or had a change of heart and is a new man now, but like an old boss of mine used to say, ”people change….but not much”. People say “what he did is now legal with NIL”….yeah but trying to place the blame on Houston Nutt and then straight up lying to recruits and parents about it was a POS move. Like I say, hope he’s been washed by the lamb and is a changed man.
The dude can coach and recruit and he’s hungry to prove he belongs, and maybe that’ll be enough to get him in living rooms which will give him the opportunity to sell himself and Auburn.
I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and get on the Freeze team, because lord knows I supported the last guy and gave him every benefit. But I can’t say I’m not gonna have some fun with it either. The jokes just write themselves with this guy

I’m ok with it. He can develop QBs. That’ll be a nice change. This is his last chance as well at a top 15-20 program. I feel our compliance dept will be all over it and checking everything he does to make sure we are on the up and up. Everyone likes a redemption story too. If he wins, shite will come out like Cam. frick Bama and Thamel too. Always out to make more out of less when it comes to Auburn.

Yeah, I hear ya, but he was already under a lot of negative scrutiny which affected his recruiting. The writing was kinda on the wall at that point.

Wouldn't you expect poor recruiting when they reopened the investigation after the Tunsil admission of taking money? He admitted that the previous spring.

When people bring up cheating, the first person that pops into my mind is, and always will be Jackie Sherrill.
Freeze certainly has his warts, but college football history is riddled with cheaters and major pieces of shite.

Auburn hired a PR firm specifically for the blowback and apparently Will Herding is on the payroll.
Fickell only got 7.9 million per year. That’s surprising.
