How many games do we win if Carnell coached this entire season?

Obviously having to take a lot of liberties here considering he’d have been responsible for offseason preparation and scouting. But in four weeks, we went from having a laughably bad offensive line to producing an offense that averages 250+ yards rushing per game.

You can factor in TJ if you want. I’m going on Ashford being a QB who improved a little the past month and am assuming the team that played the last 4 games is what started the season.

Definite losses: Alabama, Georgia, and Penn St

LSU was a close game at home, and LSU was playing bad football. A simple spark on offense gets us the victory.

I think we beat Miss St if it wasn’t Carnell’s first game.

Ole Miss and Arkansas are toss ups. I like our ability to match Arkansas especially at home. Give Ole Miss the W since it was in Oxford.

So 8-4 sound about right?

6-6. The only thing I see changing is Mississippi State. Penn State might have been closer.

Carnell hasn't "coached" in the same sense as, say, Dabo or Bowl Cut. Harsin's not a good comparison because I don’t think he did anything. But Carnell is a cheerleader. That's it. If you believe he contributed significantly to a game plan, you are deluded.

Why would this be an L? Assuming we’re a moderately improved team, we should be able to close this one out with a W in Jordan Hare.

Your post will be lost on most, but I 100% agree. Will Friend is getting zero credit, but he's also not the face of the program and not running up and down the sideline.

5, when we got,the ball back after the PPpoe INT we had to come out throwing to have a chance. We ran it 3 straight downs.

Carnell has 1) motivated the players, 2) brought energy to the program, and 3) gotten out of the way and let his coordinators and position coaches do their job. Will Friend is not a bad OC, and Schmedding isn't a bad DC.

I've not been in the "we should just hire Cadillac" camp at all, but if we are being honest with ourselves, that's about 75% of what we're looking for.

I certainly don't take Cadillac over a proven, home-run hire, but I take him over about 2/3rds of the names that have been mentioned here so far

I believe we'd be about 8-4 this season, with this talent (losses to AL, UGA, PSU, + pick your poison).

Tumultuous week with drastic changes and it was his first game. We nearly won. If Cadillac coached the whole season, you think we don’t beat Miss St? As in we’re the same team he inherited or he would make us worse?

He empowered his O coaches to run the ball down people's throats + got the players to do it.

Caddy isn't ready, but it was impressive to see a mid yr culture 180 to completely reflect the coaches culture/tone. Don't be a little keyboard kevin and downplay that

I'm sick of folks saying that all Carnell is is a cheerleader. That's very ignorant to me, he's definitely more than that. We haven't had a dual back system with Harsin it's usually one or the other not the dual threat, honestly triple threat with Robby outdoing tank for the iron bowl. You realize Carnell's team set the highest amount of rushing yards EVER against a Nick Saban team? Other than last night we were on pace for a very difficult top 5 sec defense. Owen Pappoe hasn't looked better than while under Cadillac.

Let's get past the Carnell is only a cheerleader line, that's bullshite.

Some folks criticized the field goal before the final drive, but it actually made sense numerically, it would still be a 2 score game, but would need two 2-point conversions.

I think we would have beaten LSU and Arkansas. Maybe Mississippi State if Carnell had more time to get things together.
