Defense was atrocious tonight. At least the offense looked somewhat prepared and fought.

Sorry potato coach. He should have been gone with the rest of them.

DBs and LBs were lost all night. DL played alright considering who they were lined up against

When Bryce is on he can make defenses look silly, and he was on last night. We try man and he goes medium to long, we show zone and his receivers would just run to a seam, and Bryce would find them. Boy on those replays to see their receivers run to a gap the ball is thrown, and there are literally four Auburn guys, one on each side, about five yards away, nice awareness by the receivers, and good execution by Bryce.

Still, ya gotta bring more than three, die by the sword, you cant have him sit back there for five seconds, thats too long for anyone to hold coverage, and it showed.

WE got beat by a better and seriously more talented team. Honestly, I was surprised that we moved the ball as well as we did on offense. Robby played a great game and the Oline did for a while

Exactly. Im not criticizing anything about our performance tonight. They were at home and Young, probably a top 5 pick, had a great game.

If we minimize some of those false start penalties, not have Hunter throw the ball ten feet in the air while running down field, and get back that shitty muffed punt review, we would have made a game out of it.

Also, on that 3rd and 19 they converted, our defensive lineman (can’t remember who it was) played the technique poorly. The call was perfect because he was completely unblocked. He should have spied for one Mississippi, two Mississippi and then charged at Young to put on pressure. I guess Schmedding could have instructed him not to rush, but that’s not the norm for a defensive end spying like that. He was wide open for disrupting the play and never went.

I will say that #77 is the worst Auburn offensive lineman I have ever seen.

Robby played better than I have ever seen him play before. He might have done even better if the offensive line had played better. The defense just seemed to be off kilter.

We were in zone coverage on that play. I haven't gone back and watched it, but the DE could have been in flat coverage and contain on a BY scramble. Would explain why he didn't charge BY.
As a side note, we had them stopped 4 yards short if Pritchett doesn't whiff the tackle right after the catch.

He was a BY spy.
