Thanks for making us less shitty than we were and for showing the college football world that we’re not the worst program in the country, but it’s time to move on.

We were outcoached in *several* games this year, and in some cases profoundly. Pittman is a hands off CEO type coach and we’re talking about potentially turning over 2 or even all 3 coordinators, so why the hell are we delaying the inevitable and risk hiring after a horrible season in which our program might be even less attractive.

Understand, this is a very rare year in which not many jobs are open. This is prime time to be looking.

Get rid of him now and forgo the inevitable shitty season next year and—most importantly—the risk of having to potentially compete in a crowded job market against the likes of Texas, Florida, Florida State, Ole Miss, Michigan or Ohio State, Virginia Tech, North Carolina, etc.

It won't happen because he has checked out and this program has quit being competitive decades ago.

Four losses by three points or less is on coaching.

You need to show a little more respect to him than that

This is no longer some feel good story about an OL coach getting his big break and making the most of it. That ended the minute he hired Sexton and got paid big boy money.

With big boy money comes big boy expectations, and that includes not getting profoundly outcoached in several games in year 3, not losing to Liberty and the worst A&M team in 20 years in year 3, not going 6-6 after breaking into the top 10 in year 3, and not having a losing record in year 3.

I’ll give him next year to get his crap together, another year like this one and he should do the right thing and hang it up like he said he would.

You act like he has coached for free and we haven’t funded his lucrative retirement.

This “show him respect” mentality is stuck in yesteryear.

Agree. Unless Arkansas is prepared to throw Jimbo money and a Jimbo contract at a guy, it's best that Pittman retires and is not fired.

Like it or not he has the program bowl eligible for three straight years after the dumpster fire he took over. Half the league has the same record as us this year, national perception is we should be happy with the progress.

The next two weeks are gut check time for him, he needs to decide on his staff and be prepared to hit the portal with Muss like effort on dec 5.

My guess is he'll go through next season and will retire to his house on Lake Hamilton.

As someone grumbled about a few weeks ago, he basically retired this season and just didn't tell anyone.

Not sure why you guys are so negative on Pittman, he is the right guy for us. He lets the coordinators run the show and I can understand if you don’t like show… get rid of the coordinators. That’s a change I can get on board with.

Actually, I don’t have a huge beer with Odom, I think he just got very unlucky this year with so much of the defensive getting hurt, that damaged our season more than anything.

Now Briles I don’t get, I know he doesn’t have a great QB option but some of his play calling is just dog sheit. He gets too cute on key downs… for example the ‘trick play’ with Trey Knox on goal line, Pittman should have fired him on the sideline right there for that play call.

But crapping all over Pittman just doesn’t make sense.

I very much appreciate what he's done. He pulled us from the depths of hell and stabilized the shite show at the frick factory that we were trapped in. Do I think he's the long term answer? No, I don't.

I'm hoping that he will have elevated our program enough that we can "step up" with the next hire (whenever that is).
