There is a real reason why you are hearing crickets when it comes to Auburn getting its next HC. From everything I am hearing, it is a 90% done deal, the only thing not exposed is who will be the coach. Many of us know the answer but are afraid to jinx it.

Just a few that are part of the early talk and now most of it is down to one. The Dabo talk was bullshite and the Grimes talked is totally dead. The money people are actually keeping quiet and that should tell you everything you need to know. Time will tell.

Agents and universities working behind the scenes that’s where we are. Lane is most definitely the number choice as of now. But the ball is in Auburn’s court they have the money and the power in this situation they aren’t going to beg Lane to take the job they will make an offer either take it or on to the next guy.

That’s never stopped them before. It’s very strange for Auburn beat writers to not be naming 10-15 candidates by now. PAM earlier today said they usually get a lot of names leaked by now. I find it pretty comforting that it’s so quiet.

He has gone after me with a list I posted. Time proved I didn't make it up, but Maker attacks it like the bammers. Never understood why, but I had my suspicion.
