Maybe it isn't Jimbo, maybe it's just A&M

- Franchione won at TCU and Bama... couldn't win at A&M
- Mike Sherman had 4 straight 10 win seasons in the NFL... finished with a .500 record at A&M
- Sumlin went 12-1 at Houston... never finished higher than 4th in the West at A&M after his first season.
- Jimbo won a fricking national championship... now he is going to finish last in the SEC
Just saying, maybe A&M fans should stop projecting everything bad on their coaches and just face reality that your campus and college station as a whole just kill any chance at success.

Both of these facts are true:
1) Jimbo has never won anything without crab legs
2) A&M literally couldn't win a championship with Bear Bryant

Don't know about the rest you mentioned, but it was obvious that Gary Patterson was the real brains behind the scenes at TCU. Franchione greatly benefited from having Patterson on his staff at TCU.

You left out GOAT Bear Bryant and Gene Stallings, both instrumental winning National Championships at Alabama only to do nothing at A&M.

Their natural ceiling is 7-5, meaning that every 4 or 5 years, when they have a ton of upperclassmen, and the stars line up right they go 7-5 but usually hover around 3-9 and 6-6
