Ryan Brown just said while talking to Tyler Watts that he was told that the feeling inside the program is the OL isn’t as bad as we think. Brown was told that he was told That a lot of the pressures happen after the ball should have already been out of Bryce hands but Bryce is holding onto it because the reciever aren’t where they are suppose to be.

Seems like we need to clean house at WR

I agree, waiting until under 3 seconds to snap the ball isn’t helping them either. The DLine can time up the snap every snap.

Why are the WRs not where the should be? Is it because of the WR coach or is the offense too complicated for our young WRs?

It's not like we are getting 100+ yard games on the ground, either.

There's a lot of blame to go around. And every player needs to accept some.
Even Bryce. Even Gibbs.

We could get 100+ easily but BoB abandons the run after the first drive almost every game.

I think unless you know the play call its very difficult to know if the receiver isn't where he is supposed to be or if the play schematic was just poor.

What we can say is that the end result of most plays isn't many receivers being open right now.

And given the overall talent on the offensive side of the ball from a recruiting standpoint its fair to say we are drastically underperforming where we should be from a YPP and PPG standpoint.

How could Saban let it get to this point? Saban needs to do some serious self examination.

That has more to do with play calling than anything else. O'Brien doesn't know how to use the run to set up the pass.

WR isn't the problem and I don't believe that information period.

Billy O'Brien is the biggest problem this team has.

Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder could call & scheme up better plays than him.

I also don't think our WRs are a big problem. They've showed plenty of potential to be a good unit. Most of them are still soph and freshmen. Burton and Holden have been pretty underwhelming as upperclassmen, but I think that there is a lot of hope for the rest. Just need to get an OC that can maximize their potential.

Or because our playcalling is horrendous and predictable.

Kinda hard for the WR to be where he is supposed to be with the slow developing, double move routes BOB is so enamored with.

Some of the pressure is due to Young holding the ball too long, but there are multiple times each game where it's a jailbreak with immediate pressure. The line is pretty inexperienced, so hopefully these things will start to improve next year.

Then how do you explain last season?

With Jamo & Metchie we were the best team in the country. Without them, we sucked and probably would've lost multiple games. There was a HUGE dropoff at receiver. We tried to fix it by going to the portal, but it didn't work.

We've been playing all season with the same team that got dominated by Georgia in the 2nd half of the NCG last year. We have no offensive weapons except Gibbs, and it's pretty damning that a RB is our leading reciever. Brooks is pedestrian, and he's the best we've got.

The freshmen might have some ability, but they clearly don't know the plays or how to run the routes. They've been completely useless.

What part of the second half of the NCG game were we dominated? Georgia never dominated that whole game. That was a slugfest on defense until the final two drives.

We got talent for days at the skill position.

Go look at Texas skill players and see if it matches up with ours...the answer is NO but you wouldn't know that because one team (Texas) has a great offensive coordinator/schemer and a great QB coach.

When Jameson got hurt I knew we was going to lose because Bill O'Brien has no counter. He should've use Leary to counter Jameson but I bet you forgot about Christian Leary because folks don't know how to scheme plays for their speedsters.

Our offense is trash because Billy O'Brien can't scheme then on top of that he just has some bonehead type play calling. Jahmyr Gibbs needs to touch the ball at least 30 times because he's our most dynamic player. If he would've given the ball more to Gibbs in the Tennessee & LSU games...we would be UNDEFEATED. THAT'S A FACT

Billy O'Brien ran a screen play to Holden when you got Leary, Anderson, Prentice, & Bond on the sidelines...I can't make this up!

Absolutely terrible!!

You can say whatever you want to say but you got to be on some heavy DRUGS if you think the WIDE RECEIVER POSITION is the problem.

Preach my brother. The reason it’s no one throw to is because they’re running 20 plus yard routes down the field with their backs to the qb. That’s not a receiver issue that’s on the OC. You use the running game and short passes to set up bombs instead of just coming out the gate trying to bomb. Bryce has no easy completions ever. Anyone who is blaming the receivers clearly don’t understand what they’re watching. And before we bring up Jameson our offense would look like this last year too until he was able to outrun zone coverage. Our offense went through spells last year with him and metchie this is a scheme issue.
