Tough to know exactly what to make of Pittman. He basically raised Arkansas from the dead, but it seems like maybe only to get them into a wheelchair.

How is he a snake oil salesman? He never had a HC job and the hogs took a chance on him. He seemed like he lucked out last year and won some games they shouldn’t have and now is clearly in over his head. I think he’s a genuinely good guy who’d be better suited as a position coach. Which he was his entire career. The only ones to blame is Arkansas’ AD for taking a shot in a 60 year career position coach.

What's amazing is the amount of love on here the Arky coach got not too long ago for having Arky playing well.

Mostly comes down to recruiting. And kids really do like him and want to play for him.
But we all know Arkansas won’t recruit top 5 classes in the SEC. We will always be less talented than most. Just need that magical season once in a while where the roster is stacked.
And play a damn non-conference schedule that gives you wins! Good grief this year was a joke. Need cupcakes to let young guys play and keep starters healthy.

Without looking it up, I bet Liberty lands recruiting classes above 100. You can't use that excuse when you just got dominated by a bunch of 2 stars.

There is a difference between effort and recruiting.
For whatever reason the O Line decided not to play. And the QB should NOT have been playing.

It isn't easy to win here because Arkansas makes it so much harder for themselves than it should.
It shouldn't be so hard to ask to beat the likes of Liberty in his third year with more experience returning in years, now that is wasted.
