I am incredibly disappointed that I won't get to lead the Auburn football program and these players
into the future. I poured my heart and soul into this program and team. We stood together in the
face of considerable challenges and outside noise
Through my entire time at Auburn we did things the right way, which is not always the easy way. I
am very proud of the resolve shown by everyone in our facility and incredibly grateful for those at
Auburn who stood by me and my family. I am certain that this group of players will do great things.
I will miss you guys tremendously but will always be there for you and do anything I can to heip
moving forward. Thank you for believing in me.
Like any coach with the benefit of hindsight, there are things that could have been done differently.
I don't pretend to be perfect but I am certain I will be better moving forward because of this
experience.
I truly believe Auburn has the potential to be a championship program once again. The resources,
financial support and fan base are in place. There are good people throughout this program and
University. With complete alignment, the possibilities are endless.
I hurt for the coaches, staff members and families who are left in limbo. This tear and staff care
here fully committed to our vision of what we could accomplish in time. That time has been cut short.
They will all persevere because of their tremendous character and ability and I will do everything I can
to help them with this transition.
As is life, my family and I will now turn the page and chart our next course, always grateful for the
positive relationships formed and memories made on the Plains. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of the Auburn family.

I have no ill will toward the guy and regret some of the ways he was treated. He just wasn’t a fit and time wasn’t the only reason it was a failure.

He handled it very professionally. He could’ve roasted us and aired all the laundry but chose the high road.

He wasn’t ready for the job…. The man that hired him wasn’t ready for the job…. The former AU President made numerous mistakes that lead to this week.

Doesn’t take much to read between this line.

I mean a lot of people are going to say he was mistreated in the off-season, but was he? Some players were leaving and saying his treatment was less than forthcoming of a head coach and Auburn investigated that. The fluff with the assistant was bullshite and should not have happened for the girl (assistant) of Harsin. Made up and plain wrong unless some facts are there that point otherwise--there weren't.

The reason you investigate in that situation is obvious for player mistreatment, find all details and if it's true leverage a fair punishment for the situation if not, move forward and say nothing was found.

Yes. But it is his job to get us there. Nothing was dysfunctional like AU basketball before Bruce. The first day on the job he ordered like $3k of pizzas and invited the students to a pep rally. It is shite like that you have to like doing.

I mean if nothing else the fans mistreated him in that regard. But regardless, if Harsin won say 8 games last year, I guarantee that “internal investigation” never happens

Pretty respectful comments considering everything.

I give him credit for keeping it classy.

Best part is that it's the last statement we ever have to read from him

Agreed. So why couldn’t you recruit worth a damn, Harsin?
