Why is he even considered?
12-25 over 5 seasons at an SEC West school. No shot hed do much better here.

Freeze would be a very strong hire. Probably not getting signed off by Roberts though.

I have no idea if he's an acceptable candidate for off the field reasons but he's clearly a good coach and would win games here.

That's his record after NCAA forfeited a bunch of his wins. His "on the field" record is actually much better than that. Freeze was simply doing NIL before NIL was legal.
That said, out of the "name" coaches, Freeze would be one of my last choices. The guy rubs me the wrong way.

A proven winner (especially one known for coaching up lesser players) is more important than looking good to other teams. Personally not many people have anything good to say about Kiffin or Deion. But they say it's okay to look past how they act just because their records. But in Freeze's case we are supposed to look the other way around.

I do not think it will be Freeze. The AD search showed there are no insiders. Who knew we were going after SEC west ADs? As to coaches, I expect the same.
SEC Experience will be valued. Recruiting will be valued.

The problem with freeze is he seems to keep stepping on his dick. That's my worry with him. I don't think he can stay "clean". He would probably do something dumb to make auburn look ridiculous.
