And the fact she was underage and probably drunk I am sure had a lot to do with it, also she had hired an attorney so this is far from over.

This was a post game celebration. If anything there was no reason for Burton to be on the field. He was not part of the last play of the game but was aimlessly walking around in the middle, isolated, of a Tennessee celebration.

What would she have to lie about? “He hit me. I didn’t threaten to physically harm him and made no attempt to do so.” End of story. It doesn’t matter what else she may have said, though it might affect the amount of damages, if she said the n word or something similar.
People are very, very rarely prosecuted for lying on the stand. It happens by one or more witness in most cases and almost never is prosecuted because it isn’t worth the prosecutor’s time, and it is difficult to prove beyond reasonable doubt, especially in a he-said-she-said situation. So good luck with that argument.
Besides it goes both ways. Unless he has some corroboration of any supposed threat by her, he won’t look very credible in light of the video which doesn’t show any aggression by the woman. He certainly didn’t act like he was afraid, either before of after the incident.
