How do you defend Tennessee’s offense?

They line up receivers across the width of the field and challenge you both horizontally and vertically every play. The QB is a great deep ball thrower but also a great runner if you take too many men out of the box. So what’s the answer?

People have been doing that for a while now

I don't know. But it sure as hell isn't letting Hyatt get one-on-one with a safety whenever he feels like it.

You run the ball and run the ball and run the ball...chew up clock and keep their offense on the sidelines. Utilize your special teams to keep them from getting the ball as well.
Double TE, FullHouse T formation and just beat the hell out of their defense with 3-4 yards per carry.

I would love nothing more than every team remaining to just try and run the ball on us. Would love to see it.

By having an offense that keeps Tennessee's offense off the field

LOL...I didn't say it would work but it is a possibility.

Get in Hooker’s face. Don’t do slow developing stunts or any of this mush rush shite. Concede he might rip some runs on you, but don’t let him just throw it all over the field because you aren’t getting or trying to pressure

You have to mix up zones and pressures from all angles to confuse the QB. The problem is that they move really fast, so it's hard to audible to different defenses.
Another thing is to chew the clock on offense to keep theirs off the field.

Vols run defense is their strength. You have to throw on them.

I'm telling you guys Hyatt is our big play guy, but our most clutch WR is Cedric Tilman and he is the vocal leader of that entire group as well. Our offense is going to be pretty insane when we get him back.

You have a defensive player fake an injury, cramps work well here, on every play.

I think the only cause for concern is, like in any sport, sometimes the offense doesn’t travel. Even though Tenn walloped LSU, Hooker was a little off after the hard hit by Brooks. He locked back in eventually but he lost his accuracy for a bit.
Rain storm, windy day… sometimes the elements will be the great equalizer. It looks like it’s going to take something like that to slow this offense.

You put the QB on his back with your front four.

Not allowing them to move the ball
