I heard the entire town turned out. There were dozens of them.
And you want to know what they did? They stood about 30 yards away and rang their bells like a retarded church bell choir.
And you know what the Aggies did? They had their yell practice all the same. They talked shite about MSU and said we’re gunna beat the hell outta then.

Ringing a bell will be a 15 yard penalty.

Is there anything more validating for the tradition of Yell Practice than having a bunch of internet warriors boast about attending it?
Yes, including the countless times it has appeared on lists of top 10 traditions in all of college sports.
This thread, and especially the Arky and LSU chirpers, scream "small deek energy". Congrats on being A&M's beach.

Does A&M even have a big Greek life scene? I never see anything about it. All we see is this gay stuff. A big part of SEC culture and tradition is the Greek life

No, we don’t need to buy friends.
Posted on 10/1/22 at 7:41 am to Farmer1906
Yeah I figured. Y’all would just rather be gay cult boys.

This is false. Just because you haven’t heard of it doesn’t mean nobody else has.

Most schools enjoy the Yell Practice and understand the spirit in which it is intended. Even Texas is respectful of it.
I don’t know about that. I think most people think it’s weird as shite and the freaks in overalls make everyone uncomfortable.

They only make you uncomfortable if you are still wrestling with your sexuality.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Actually Texas visited State in 1991 and left with a loss. It was probably because of the cowbells. Yep the cowbells beat the Longhorns that day.
When I was growing up in the 60’s/70’s our success at State was few and far between. 1963/1974 were the only two good seasons over about 15 year span.
But an odd thing happened. When we had a winning team, all the sudden the other schools blamed the cowbells for losing. We lost because of the cowbells.
In 1974, whiny Shug Jordan basically cried after the Auburn-State because the cowbells were too loud. Now mind you, Auburn won the game but almost blew a 24-0 lead in the fourth quarter and hung on to win 24-20.
The following spring (1975) he led the charge to ban the cowbells which passed 9-1. That lasted until 2010 when they passed the new policy about cowbells with the protocols in place now. By which 95+% State fans adhere to. You have a few hare brain students but they are few and far between.
Cowbells are here to stay even if the Longhorns whine about them as well.

Why is it always about sexuality with y’all?

I hate to say it, but overalls are danged handy tho not fashionable. Much better than cargo pants or fanny packs.
Advantages to overalls
+ no belt needed
+ no suspenders (as you get older you understand this)
+ pants no longer have button flys or suspenders buttons inside
+ speedy bathroom access (again, important as you age)
+ handy pockets at chest for phone
+ denim is durable
+ shows less dirt
+ handy access if your woman wears them
