I think Auburn is going to get Hugh Freeze. Laugh all you want but they are desperate for a great coach at those boosters will look past his garbage to get him. They are tired of losing.
Furthermore, if that happened, that is why Lane would leave Ole Miss. With Alabama being Alabama, and if Auburn got Freeze, and knowing the Egg Bowl is always anyone's guess...and Kelly at LSU is going to have LSU a serious threat again soon with the classes LSU hauls in. And Arkansas is good again and Jimbo is hauling in big classes (With NIL money, of course)....
Lane will tell himself that the Sec West is just too hard and he will pack those bags, mark it down!

Elite coaches think they are the best and are willing to fight to prove it. He's not Lincoln Riley.
Lane will leave Ole Miss one day, but it's not for Auburn this year. It'll be for another SEC school eventually or for the NFL.

And boosters/fans who pulled the rug from under their current coach before the 2nd season even started.
This after firing Gus, who had the most success of any coach against Saban and got them to a BCS national championship game and the SEC championship game.
Bottom line: Auburn is the ugly chick with an entitled attitude who thinks there aren't any good men out there.

Dude, lol , Freeze is ITCHING to get a big gig again. He would jump in a heartbeat to coach in the SEC. He figures even if it only lasted 4 years, he'd be very very wealthy. It's not like AU don't have the money.

Totally disagree. I think he's a pos, but I also know the man can coach and he won't pull that crap again. I would have to think that after what it cost him in money , embarrassment (including his family) that he ain't gonna dirty again.

Freeze is a Gus who can adjust and develop QBs. Gus would be going strong if he was like Freeze.
