Even the teams that managed to win looked terrible doing so. And the ones that lost made you say WTF a thousand times.

MTSU skulldragging Miami. K-State outplaying Oklahoma. T-Tech outplaying Texas. Auburn and Mizzou refusing to win the game, over and over again. Two of the weirdest plays I've ever seen dooming the Hogs. Ole Miss held scoreless in the second half. UGA pressed by Kent State. Tennessee holding off Florida with a last-second interception. Kentucky having trouble at home with NIU, while Vandy handled them on the road.

Am I leaving anyone out?

LSU effortlessly destroying their opponent. I think that about covers it.

Hot takes from UGA game:

Our RBs had trouble vs Kent State

Our DBs kept getting caught with the same sideline WR screen

We can’t complete a deep pass

We aren’t the same defense without Jalen Carter

College football is a weird game. Teams have bad days. Sometimes your team plays bad, but can salvage a W and escape woth record intact, sometime you get blindsided by a team that's clicking on that prticular day, and end up with a L. That's why we play the games.

Alabama destroyed Vandy. There are no-contests every week. Not what the post was about.

There is no cupcake we won't partially choke on. We always turn it into a struggle.

In fairness, that’s kinda what Tulsa does against P5 teams. Last season they gave Oklahoma State and Ohio State all they wanted for 3+ quarters, then lost in back to back weeks.

Can I just say that I've never understood the hype that Cristobal got? I sort of get it from Alabama fans but his value is never questioned despite not getting anything out of his Oregon teams

I think what we are seeing is the result of transfer portal. A lot of good players leave blue blood programs and transfer to lesser programs if they don’t win a starting job. It’s creating a more even playing field

I actually find it more entertaining. It’s nice that games that used to be blowouts are entertaining now

I think the problem is we need to stop expecting so much from some teams.

Miami is not good. They are not a good program. It is not surprising they lose to a team like Mid Tennessee. Shouldn’t even make the news.

Texas is not good. They were 20 point dogs to Alabama for a reason and Alabama fans are rightfully pissed that game was so close.
Texas was 5 -7 last year. If they beat Kansas this year that’s progress

Oh, so now having a top player out for a game, even against an opponent like Kent State, can impact the overall team performance?
Interesting.

That time of the year where teams playing noncon games are tired of it and looking ahead to SEC play. I’d bet a lot of coaches were holding their playbooks back a little
