Other than the croom years we have been pretty solid imo. Definitely not the hardest to win at but it is easy to crash and burn if we don’t make competent coaching hires. We won’t win 7-8 games on talent alone like some other schools. OM, State, Kentucky, Carolina are all similar. Bad coach- suck really bad. Good coach- win 6-10 games consistently

Honestly I'm shocked Mississippi State is even remotely competitive ever.

Don't get me wrong, I prefer tGrind to that other Mississippi school. frick Ole Miss.

But I've been to Starkville, and I just can't imagine how coaches convince recruits to go there.

That is a fair observation. The last three years under Sherrill and the first three years under were really bad. Our record those six years was 17-52.
Really bad. I know you can’t eliminate those seasons but the other 25 seasons our overall record is
171-122. Not bad. Basically 7-5 each year with an occasional big season and an off year here and there.

We are certainly not a pushover for anybody anymore. Nobody outside Bama can circle the State game as an automatic win these days.

I took this as a low hanging fruit troll post to State and then I engaged my reading comprehension.

Vandy has had some decent coaches blow through

The Opportunity Vanderbilt actually only takes away the state school advantages of lower tuition for non sports scholarship kids. People, including baseball players, do NOT get all their tuition, etc covered. It is need based. Some very big name baseball players from Vandy that got this money still had college debt. The average person or player getting this money still has a average debt for year of college of around $14K (last time I looked) which is the average debt for public schools. Yes, we like to get y’all all riled up by saying we get gazillion scholarships and it’s all free but it isn’t. Some public schools do this too. just for once wanted to point out that this isn’t an advantage over you, it’s a way to overcome your advantage of lower tuition for non-scholarship players over us.

Now back to football…. Just hoping we get out of the Bama game without any injuries. Really don’t care about the score, although a TD against Bama would be nice for a change. Hope everyone has a good day at their games.

called vandy health one night because poli board was reporting they were full and what not. It wasn’t the case when I called all hospitals there. Yet they weren’t taking anyone, insane!!

Their fans and players are, but not the ones brainwashed and cocky going to a university.

Someone who prank calls hospitals on the advice of the poli-board has a hard time relating to Vanderbilt grads?

How shocking.

Tell your medical complex to quit disfiguring kids physically and mentally because it pays well.
