Checks out.
quote:
They have won 20 straight against FCS opponents," Cubelic said of Missouri. "I don't think Missouri is going to be threatened to lose this game, but where do you kind of see this team now after a couple of games in? It did not look good against K-State. There weren't many facets at all that looked good against K-State. ... Do you see correctables within Missouri? Because there's a lot that I see that I just don't really feel like can get right this year."
quote:
"No, it's a personnel issue," McElroy said. "I also think there's a little bit of a culture issue, too. We did their spring game, and there were guys that were sitting out the spring game because they were trying to preserve their body for the NFL — you might be a sixth-round pick, if you have a great year this year, and there are guys sitting out. I just think there are unrealistic players on that roster.
Checks out.

Of course he's right. Missouri State has more of a culture in their program than us right now.
We are vanilla as it gets.

Drink's trying too hard to be a player's coach. He's their buddy, hence his ability to recruit pretty well.
But he hasn't shown to be a leader. And that is extremely disappointing.

Having an injury is not “sitting out”

For some reason when Barry Odom was here the SEC network loved him. Last year listening to them talk so positive about Bazelak was enough evidence they don’t know anything about Mizzou football. They do a little homework before games and talk about the players and the team like the actually follow them.
He is not all wrong though. We do have some important positions that need to be filled and upgraded.

Are you arguing there isn’t a culture issue?
I think there is a 95% chance we have a culture issue.

I would say 99%. This team has no cohesive culture.
When the coach resorts to attacking fans you know the end is near.

Lol kentucky has six dudes in court before last season and we have dudes sitting out of a scrimmage and we have “culture issues”. Just shut up and win games. That’s the only thing anyone cares about.

I’m not talking about criminals. I’m talking about buying in and getting along with your teammates.
You can snipe at me. But we are less than the sum of our parts. That’s almost indisputable.

Lol that’s not a culture problem? If we beat k state no one is talking about dudes sitting out a spring game. Just dumb. “Hey everyone we have good culture. Now our o line is good and our quarterback can actually go through his reads and is accurate. It was just culture this whole time. When we were desperately looking for qb in the portal we were really looking for culture”

Do you think the players are playing hard and as a cohesive unit?
Posted on 9/18/22 at 7:56 pm to El Segundo Guy
I think they’re not good to be brutally honest and I don’t think them playing hard or not playing hard changes that.

We don’t have a culture issue. We have an offensive line issue.
Unless you’re in the building you can’t say that with any type of certainty whatsoever.

We didn’t beat Kstate. What a dim argument.
“If we were 8-4 and not 4-8, no one would be talking about dudes sitting out a spring game.”

Why are we talking about injured guys not playing in the spring game anyway?
Posted on 9/19/22 at 2:01 am to JesusQuintana
They have a combination of both.
Posted on 9/19/22 at 6:54 am to McMillan
No they don’t. Show me some instances of lack of effort then I’ll agree. Until then, this is just pissed off fans looking for something to be pissed off about.
