Pissed off fans? I can't imagine why.

So is it an issue than? Major culture issues are talked about whether the team is good or not. IE 90s Nebraska or 2000s Florida. You guys are talking about culture which was observed by a guy who was there for 5 hours.

I think they’re not good to be brutally honest and I don’t think them playing hard or not playing hard changes that.

Worse players at other schools are playing better than ours. We need to quit blaming players and admit our coaches dont know how to do their jobs.

You would think great recruits would be the best when dealing with player personnel issues.

Or it’s answer C, bad coaching and bad players. That’s when you get beat by 4 touchdowns to a team that lost to Tulane.

Sure but good coaching can make bad players average. That is what we need right now.

LOL

You guys are hilarious

You’ve seen the OL right? Tell me what magical scheme you run to overcome a OL that gave up 9 TFL to a FCS team

You are making the point yourself. Well coached OL doesn't play that poorly against an FCS squad regardless of recruiting rankings.

Our guys are big and strong enough to dominate any FCS DL. Good coaches get an OL to play as a cohesive unit. It doesn't take 4star talent to get solid OL play. Pinkel had some great OL play with a bunch of 3star farmboys nobody wanted.

Yeah, and those guys played in the NFL for multiple seasons. The recruiting rankings were wrong in that instance.

Marcus Johnson has been a P5 OL coach since 2016. He probably knows how to teach technique.

Is this an argument against OP?

Giving up 9 TFLs to an FCS team sounds exactly like a bunch of duds.

That’s a good point. If those 4 defensive players played in that spring game the offensive line wouldn’t have been dominated by Abilene Christian.

Remove the spring game part of it (you won’t be able to, but try anyway). Is there an issue deeper than just coaching and Jimmies and Joes?

Or are our linemen actually worse than Abilene Christian’s line?

Sure looked that way. Are you insinuating they aren’t playing with full effort? Do you have anything to back that up?

I’ve made my point pretty clearly.

The results are less than the sum of the parts.

Is it coaching? You say no.

If it comes down to they really can’t line up and block Abilene Christian man-to-man, it’s going to be a very long year.

The spring game was the whole starting point of this thread. This whole thread has been talking on a culture problem based off McElroy saying players weren’t playing in our spring game. Unless you have more evidence?

No, you refuse to make it like always. Dance around what you are actually trying to say.

So it’s either they aren’t playing with effort or you think the coach who has been a P5 OL coach for 7 years can’t coach the position. That’s the only two possibilities here since you seem to think they have plenty of talent?

I think they have enough talent to outplay Abilene Christian, yes. I’m not comparing them to Georgia. Is that a really controversial take?

I thought the OP was pretty non-controversial. We have a dud team. You’re in here doing your best “I’m a jackass Jesus Quintana” impression, anyway.

He also said we have a personnel issue. Do we or no?
