The oddest thing is that Kiffin isn't helping anything by dragging it out and then staying (other than making it look like we are begging for him and keeping his name out there). He has OM fans flipping back and forth on him.

It's obvious why he would keep quiet if he's leaving (except for going overboard to say he's not to his players, if true). But the fact Auburn isn't doing anything to get something out there (even if it's not the candidates) is just going to set us up to look bad if he stays at OM and turned us down. If auburn has any doubt they need to keep it out there that they are looking at multiple coaches and still looking. Then it won't be obvious that we were left hanging. That's why no one but Kiffin is being mentioned.

If he told the team he was staying that puts it in Pine Box territory. I could see a scenario where it drags out til Sunday/Monday. He can easily say he changed his mind after a couple days.

The only issue with that is if we somehow upset Bama. You tell him thanks for turning the season around but bye? Plus it makes it obvious that he wasn't even considered and keeping quiet has make the talk louder than the game or him coaching it. So it's not doing him any favors either way.

Maybe auburn finds out friday if lane is coming and the team can play lights out for Cadillac to send him out with a bang. Can use it as tackling fuel!

Did those OM Sauces say he signed the extension?

No none of that happened just some of their message board mods saying source close to players said he is staying. No player has posted shite. This is gonna be like the old Pine Box if you ask me.
