They're still just trailers. Ain't not of them an investment. But they're fun, if that's what you like to do.
Definitely. After researching the plans, I just decided it was best to look at them as a life long rental agreement and just enjoy it.

Yep. I like renting a condo on the Gulf for a week or so. We've done it for years.
Dragging your own trailer for a long weekend kinda' feels like that.
If I lived closer to the Gulf ? I dunno'. It would be like living too close to vacation.

The ball being deflected is such a bs stance. The reason why it is called intentional grounding is bc the QB is throwing the ball away to avoid a sack. In this instance that is what he was doing. He had no idea if a receiver was in the area. He was in the grasp. His ankles were touching the field. His feet were sideways. How is he not down in that instance?

Are we talking about a third knee here?

It’s amazing how the referees will blow the whistle to determine a running back who is still upright and moving his legs as “down” because his forward progress is stopped. Yet a QB who is not moving forward and his feet are sideways with ankles touching the field as not “being down”. Crazy.

f he was down as you said, then Alabama got screwed because it should have been a late hit/roughing the passer resulting in Alabama getting the ball 1st and 10 at the 18 yard line.

It was a safety if Bama had been on defense.

Here's the replay: LINK
It's a plain and simple safety. I don't know how in the world it could have been called any other way. There was no roughing the passer, it was a safety. One of the worst calls I've ever seen. Texas got screwed. Welcome to the SEC.

Actually, no it doesn't. Christ I can only imagine what it is like playing monopoly in bama with the house rules they come up with.

Yeah, that'd be a great way to turn the ball over...
No it wouldn't. No more dangerous than intentional grounding or an incomplete pass in general. I would say if deflection is the only mythical requirement then throw it off the side of the ref's head or something.
This play was fishy as foooock

Why is so many people having trouble with this? Go look at the replay. Bryce never touched the ground. He threw the ball right before his elbow touched. That’s takes a safety off the board that way. It’s plain as day.
Now let’s clear up the grounding end of the play. When Bryce threw the ball it hit a Texas player right square in the helmet. At that point it’s basically a tipped or batted ball. All bets are off at that point. Players can knock the hell out of each other and it takes grounding off the table since it was tipped. The ball landed harmlessly in the corner of the end zone. It doesn’t matter that Bryce was just throwing it trying to get rid of it. Once it was tipped or in this case thrown and bounced off a guy’s helmet it pretty much voided a grounding call. How can a ball be grounded if a opposing player touches it any way. Besides I think Bama had a running back in the area had it not hit a player and it would have made it to the LOS. This call is not hard to understand or figure out. Take the Bama hate out of the equation and it’s easy to see and figure out.

Missed face mask
Missed safety.
Bama benefits
Wtf else is new.
Question - does Bama pay the refs individually or does the whole crew get goodies?

Then a late hit.
First down Alabama
Funny how no one has an issue with the penalty that got Texas their lone TD.
Well, not “funny” but definitely amusing.

Bama got a penalty in this game for a faskmask on a wideout catching a pass on the sideline in this game. If you look at the replay both players had each other’s face mask with fingers wrapped around it. Should have been a no call or offsetting fouls.
The safety play as I explained wasn’t a safety. The ref called a targeting play with roughing. They review the play and the penalty is dropped because the ref said it was miscommunication between officials. He should have corrected that immediately after it was announced and they figured out what happened. Instead they go to review and drop both penalties. You can’t review roughing. It looks like they fixed that penalty with the review. Doesnt matter if they actually did or not it had that appearance. As bad as they were I think they did fix it on review.
The Play that knocked out the starting QB that was a bullshite call. They are calling that now as a player safety thing but it really is meant more for dirty plays. If the QB was standing flat on the ground and a player hit him and fell on him then ok call it as a player safety thing. I can understand that. The QB had jumped in the air and added a little spin as the threw the ball. Dallas Turner came unblocked and left his feet to tackle him. He didn’t hit him to late it was a good hit. How is Dallas Turner supposed to not land on him like that when he jumps and Turner has to leave his feet to try and tackle him. It was a bad call. You can’t expect a defensive player to not land on a player with all his weight when both players leave their feet. I realize it is a judgement call but that is one where the refs has to realize the circumstances of the play and call as fair as possible to both players.
All that is just this one game that Bama didn’t get a break or a call. Last year an Arky receiver totally shoved a Bama DB with both hands and pushed off. He caught the ball and ran 70 or 80 yards for a TD. It ended up being a one score game. We got no call on that. It could have really mattered. Bama gets away with stuff and also gets no calls when they should. Everyone else does also. I can show you a bunch of missed calls over the years Bama didn’t get that would have mattered.

No. He rolled on top of a player and chunked the ball right before his elbow hit the ground.

After looking at this more, to me it's simple.
This should've been intentional grounding. Who was he throwing too? He was literally just trying to get rid of the ball while flipped upside down
He just happened to throw it into the helmet of a texas player. Shouldn't matter if he hit the helmet or not, it's still intentional grounding because there is no player in the area that he could logically be throwing to.
Super weird play though.
ETA: if the ball is deflected by anyone on the defensive side of the ball it and then hits the ground its called an incomplete pass because you can not disprove how far the ball would've gone if it wasn't deflected. So I guess it's the right call in the end. EXTREMELY lucky
