Calzada was head and shoulders above King

Tough SOB, played through injuries. He kept on after all the criticism. Beat Alabama.
King literally shite his pants last offensive drive. Could not hit wide open targets.
How does one frick up the zone read and option so bad. Against App State lmao
Sunshine pumpers talked how he was a dual threat. Can’t even scramble and has a release slower than my grandma.
Jimbo deserves another raise. Probably top ten talent composite wise loses to a team probably in the 60s-70s. Now that takes some skill

I’m not trying to troll at all. But when we had Les everyone said we were just a QB away from a championship. And while that may have been true there was no way on God’s green earth that Les could develop a QB.
Do you think it’s King or do you think that Jimbo’s offense no longer helps develop a QB?

Jimbo hasn’t coached a QB worth a damn since crab legs. 5 years at A&M and their QB room is a disaster.

The one play where he tried to yank the ball back from the RB so hard that he practically got the assist on the tackle summed it up pretty good.
Only thing missing was a fumble scoop and score to make it complete.

It’s almost like we all pointed out how trash Haynes King was in week 1 yet Aggies clinged to the QBR, the worst stat in football. Now y’all hopefully see it. And yes, Calzada is better and it’s not close.

This coming from a fanbase that screamed their team would’ve won 11 games last year if King was the starter instead of Calzada. And the same fanbase that screamed King should start over Mond, a 3rd round draft pick, in 2020. I’m sure there’s a better reason for the latter, but I can’t qWHITE put my finger on it…
Maybe your fans are just not smart? I mean, how else could you defend the arrogance from aggie fans despite not coming remotely close to sniffing a championship since Hitler invaded Poland?

This is just downright weird on his part. The kid is fast as hell, but with one exception yesterday, doesn't seem comfortable utilizing it.

To be fair, Mond never should have been drafted before the 5th round. That was a hilarious pick.

Hard to say. I think Jimbo stuck with Mond because he was new and Mond was a least consistent. I don’t think Calzada was ever “Plan A” - as evidenced by him transferring to a program where he thought he could start and not making it. Neither of those were on Jimbo.
King has a strong arm and App State was basically his third college game. Disturbing part is the lack of a run game to take any pressure off him.
Not as concerned about QB development as I am about this offense lacking any identity. We got game-planned by App State.

Yet calzada is somehow 3rd string at auburn

He's a worse Les Miles.
No QB will succeed in the modern game under him.

Jumbo appears to be stubborn.
He may need professional help at this point.
Mental health issues aren’t funny.
Lololololololololol.

QBs aren't the problem. Our offense is consistently underprepared, out of sync, and out schemed.
Jimbo is the problem. His offense is a ineffective dinosaur. Only a fool can blame anything else at this point.

At this point might as well play Weigman, but at least LSU showed Johnson is head and shoulders better than what King has showed. How he got beat out by King is a mystery.

Really? I realize the offense has no identity, but that seems to be directly related to shitty QB play. The QB thing is/was Jimbo's calling card since his days at LSU. He just signed his fifth recruiting class and is working on his sixth. He has Weigman as an early enrollee who apparently is not as good as King or Johnson at this point of his career. No surprise, but Jimbo needs him badly to be that guy and soon. If he isn't the real deal, that will be five full seasons of failing to do the one thing he does the best.
I will say this, he has assembled some damn good defensive talent and allowed his assistants to develop them into a solid unit. I thought when hired, that would be his biggest weakness.

Are you implying that texas a&m was racist for thinking kellen mond was not great and thinking King was better than calzada?

Jimbo doesn't meddle with the Defense. He lets his DC run the show on game day with a scheme that is current and effective in the modern game.
Take that piece of information, and reevaluate, and let me know what conclusion you come to.

Oh, I came to that conclusion last year, and its likely the same conclusion Aggie fans have reached. I was just saying it is something of a positive that his ego didn't have him meddling with the defense. I've got no love loss for you guys, but damn I didn't think in year five it would be this bad.

I wonder how many highly rated QB'S we're going to blame before we realize the common denominator is the play caller?
I think Jimbo would still be an elite head coach if he would hire a real offensive coordinator but he's too stubborn to do that.
