Are any of the portal players they are getting really good? I know Nolan was a top recruit but was he good at A&M?

We wanted Tyler Barron. Had contact but didn't offer Chris Paul Jr. Princely U. The DL from UF is good. Can't speak to the rest.

Outside of BRob and Lacy the rest of the guys you named were special players coming out of high school. Just seems guys like Kyle Edwards who we want to wait and develop just leave..

Henry and Yeldon both had a ton of people, including most of the coaching staffs recruiting them, questioning whether they could remain at RB in college. But you could see the necessary functional athleticism when they played. They just didn't have traditional RB body types. That's not the case with these guys. Being a big RB only matters if you don't have regular sized RB vision, balance, acceleration, etc.

Did all the early signee recruits move on campus the other day? I must have missed the post.

11 are on campus for bowl practice. Other early enrollees are scheduled to arrive through the reminder of the next month or so, I think prior to the start of classes.

Finally, the RW smoke is insane. Im not worried about him taking pics with AU recruits. Of course they are pushing. But he took pics with Mbawke too and has been sporting Bama gear while in AU. Unless AU doubles our offer (which is improbable), I think he likes the good guys

RW's wearing Bama gear while in AU doesn't strike me as necessarily a good sign. It seems like the familiar hat switch that happens every signing announcement. Maybe he's having fun with both fan bases, who knows?

I doubt Quandarrius would hit the portal. I'll *guess* he'll be back. But, since he's a senior, he could just move on. I would think he could improve his draft stock significantly by coming back, but it isn't a sure thing. I do believe it's highly likely Amos will be back at CB, though. He's a stud!

My main point is: people are reading way too much into this... people are analyzing things that likely don't matter. I don't care what he's wearing. I care about how communicative he is with our staff, how he's actively recruiting other players to Bama, etc.

I am thinking they should be more worried about the fact that Julian Sayin likely takes over during those guys freshman seasons and at a minimum starts for 2 years. That puts them not potentially starting until their junior years.

Only thing that worries me about Williams is that he said he wants to start. Im sure AU can promise him that. Dont think Saban will make that promise.

He also said he wanted to win so there's that I guess. Would be nice if he shut it down and signed early but that's not happening.

I think he would come close to starting immediately.

Sorry. My comment was about George MacIntyre and Bryce Underwood talking about Simpson not being around.

Saban won't promise him a starting role... but I think if he bulks up some then he has a great shot at early PT. I mean, AU has 2 5* already committed. He would be battling those guys for PT too. Our WR group isn't deep enough to say he couldn't immediately see the field. Plus, I think he has to potential to be used in many different ways, even out of the backfield like Bond / Law have been utilized this year.

And like another poster said, he claims he wants to win. I don't see that being a common occurrence at AU.

Devonta Smith did okay without being too big. Not to draw hasty comparisons, but RW is pretty talented. He would have played some for us this year, not that he wouldn't benefit from some college S&C, most players would.

I believe that's the kid from Canada. I think he's pretty physical, but I believe pretty raw too... if my memory serves me correctly.

Always hate the Monday before ESP, NSD. Always slow, although some weird stuff sometimes happens late.
