Ok so listening to Blackerby this week he discussed some odds of the first P5 coach fired this season.
Harsin was the heavy heavy favorite at -1100. (I think)
Scott Frost was -110
Everyone else was + odds. Even frickin Herm Edwards.
Scott Frost up 28-17 after just scoring a TD on a long drive tried an onside kick and it fails Northwestern 5 plays later scored a TD on the way to losing 31-28. What a dufus.
How the hell is Harsin heavier odds then Frost? Just saw on espn they have lost 7 straight single digit games in a row. Longest streak for a P5 team in years. In 1 score games I can’t remember exactly the record but it was something like 3-21 under Frost.

I don't know but the Tom Osborne era is long over. It has been a long time since Nebraska's powerhouse days. Maybe they no longer have the same expectations. I remember their back to back championships in 94 and 95. Hard to believe that was more than 25 years ago.

Oh but they do. Those fans think they are going to return to the glory days of the 90s any day now.
There may not be a more loyal fan base in American sports, but they are one of the most delusional as well.

Because of everything that happened in February.

Exactly. Not sure how anyone thinks Harsin has a job unless he wins 9+ games. Which is bullshite. But it is what it is, especially with a new AD coming

Yeah they do but they can’t pull the Texas kids to the cold like they used to since moving to the B1G.
They also used to give an athlete a scholarship in every county in the state that wasn’t a football scholarship. To they would get every 6’4” 280 lbs country strong boy in the state. They cut that out as well like Bear’s old golf scholarships.
So their fanbase is gonna have a decision to make take the B1G money and be content on being lower middle in the conference. Or go back to the BIG 12 lose the money and hope because you get to play in Texas 3-4 times a year that you can pull some of that talent.

Shows you how highly dysfunctional our school, PTB and fan base is.

They were known for their great offensive and defensive line play but their players didnt develop further after being drafted, many times were disappointments after playing so well in college, and often got injured.
Ever wonder why sports got serious about PEDs and the demise of the Nebraska dynasty coincided so perfectly?

It was also the leveling of the TV broadcast field. Used to be teams like Notre Dame & Nebraska were the only teams on national TV on Saturday. Made it easier for those teams to recruit.
I can't imagine any kid really wants to live in Nebraska for 3 or 4 years, outside of a Nebraska kid.

One of the only things that makes sense is that Frost played at Nebraska. They might be willing to cut him a little more slack. He also agreed to take a pay cut, lower buyout, and made some staffing changes.

Scott Frost is a beloved former player there, only reason I can think of
