Tons of Scots/Irish in Georgia and a week zero game would be fun.

Do they allow the unvaxxed yet? Id probably pass anyway. It also feels beneath a program of our stature to participate in one of these currently.

My people came from the highlands of Scotland on one side/ Scots-Irish on the other side though

I dont understand the question.

The ireland gimmick game to make money for Fox is for the GA techs, nebraskas, NWsterns, of the world etc imo.

Same as any other kickoff game, the week zero lets you start a week early and usually take the next week off.

Well, the turnout looked pretty good today. And the Nebraska /NWestern fans seemed to be having fun in and around the game

My vote, if I were given one though, would be not only to avoid this kind of thing like the plague, but to also cancel ga/fl in JAX, cancel all the other season openers in the sterile concrete corporate football warehouses, and get college football back to where it belongs: On campus

We’re losing our way

Yes and Yes. Would definitely travel to Ireland and getting UGA football a week early wouldn’t suck either. I would prefer it’s a good matchup though, like a West team we don’t see often or a big P5 non conference opponent.

Ireland is probably my favorite of the countries I’ve visited, as a whole. We’ve been twice, planning to go back again, and I’d 100% be there if we played in Dublin.

I’m 50% Scottish, so I would travel to the British Isles to see UGA play. Might bring my golf clubs.

I was working in Ireland and met a nice lady. Turns out she had a boyfriend. He told me he was IRA and that they were gonna get me for having relations with his freckly whore girlfriend. Problem with that was, I told my friend with NCB that I had a lead on a dude in the IRA. Ended up being something Chappelle would have done on his “when keeping it real goes wrong” series. Good times

My wife and I are panning on going to Switzerland for the month of December (all month) so I would go to Ireland for a month and time it for that game. It would be a unique experience.

I would. Get in some golf and tour the country. Make a week out of it. Been to Scotland but not Ireland.

I’d hope we have an off week afterward though.

I would love to see the look on Kirby’s face when he finds out that, not only does he have a built-in recruiting disadvantage because selfish fans don’t want to give up their late October beach vacation every year, but now they want the schedule to include a European vacation too.

Gee wiz. I hope the players haven’t got as fat and entitled as the fans have

Being the biggest game of the early football season is never bad for recruiting. To get 95% of the presason coverage would be great for the brand.

I'd fly to Ireland for the game.

Some people grab hold of the smallest minutiae to complain about.
College football is about big games. Special events.
