LSU Fans: Thoughts on Kylin Jackson?

Saw he pushed back his commitment date. Was wondering what y’all thought about him as a prospect and how good LSU feels about landing him. Haven’t heard much about him on A&M’s side.

Good player, would like to have him at LSU. Will take a big bag to get him out of Louisiana, don't know if that would even do it.

LSU side feels good about him. With the A&M side not having much to say seems telling.

He may have pushed back his commitment because of Rickie Collins on Wednesday. He also may have pushed it back because Aggie has given him something to think about.
We probably still get him, but you can't count Jimbo out.

Yeah probably true. I’ve honestly heard more about Bowen than Jackson even though he’s committed to ND. Heard OU and A&M are in lead over ND regardless of commitment.

There is no doubt the Ags and Fisher want Jackson as a higher priority recruit. Although landing Dalton Brooks was a huge get at the safety position. A freak of an athlete.
Sure hope we can steal another LA native but Tigers certainly have the advantage with Kylin. But you never know.....
Btw, great get in Shelton LSU. I really wanted him. Hopefully we can get an announcement from Hykeen Williams. I can live with the #2 WR....lol.

His high school bleeds LSU. It's also a position of need.
We could potentially take 4 WR in 2023 and they'd all have an equal chance to start in 2024.

Or a really good recruiter from another school that he may want to go to. Big bags will be a wash if that were the case. It’s not like LSU doesn’t use big bags to keep them local.

LSU "insiders" all seem pretty confident the commitment was delayed because his video is not completed.

Correct, he filmed it over the weekend but it could not be edited in time for his Monday announcement. So they know what got filmed in the video, and they seem pretty confident who the choice still is (nobody has changed their picks off LSU for now). His buddy Rickie Collins commits to LSU tomorrow who he will probably be at that ceremony so he chose this weekend to do his, just 5 days after his original plan. I would think if he was seriously contemplating a change to A&M he would have delayed his commitment longer than 5 days.

If bags are a wash then why in the world would someone go to A&M over LSU? Serious question.

Jacoby Mathews said it was A&Ms ability to put DBs in the NFL.
quote:
“I just figured who is going to develop me on the collegiate level and who would send me to the first round the fastest,” Mathews said. “(Jimbo) just showed me the scheme of the defense and how he used (Derwin) James and Jalen Ramsey. Then, I just wasn’t able to build a bond at Florida. I wouldn’t be that comfortable with the decision.”

LOL at Aggies putting more DBs in the NFL than LSU.

Pfftft. He’s still using his days at FSU to recruit at a&m?

What funny is Ramsey said tell Jimbo to keep his name out of his mouth haha

Ramsey isn’t too high on his old HC. Funny Fisher is still using him as an example. Even funnier Mathew’s credit that BS as the reason. Could have made up something more believable to hide the real reason, which was the promise of a payday. Wonder if that has come to fruition.

Serious question, is this kid a legitimate moron?

Sometimes these young kids get buffaloed by used car salesmen types like Jimbo. Appears to be the case here.
