Who has the best defensive lines for 2022?

Why?

(I'm still at work and haven't looked up preseason all conference lists yet)

Football is typically won/lost in the trenches. I haven't seen much to date about the defensive fronts on the secrant.

Alabama doesn’t have a “jump off the page” first rounder at DL. But it’s a deep group. Will be one of the best in the country. Even after losing Phil Mathis to the NFL.

Freddie Roach is doing a tremendous job with his unit.

On paper, LSU’s DL should be excellent. I have no idea how it stacks up with UGA or anyone else though.

Starting DL with:
DE: Ali Gaye
DL: Jaqueline Roy
DL: Maason Smith
DE: BJ Ojulari

Should be a nasty line. Depth is the only concern but with them
Healthy should be amongst the top of the SEC. Looking forward to this group the most on this team.

This is just based on fall camp rotations on the first day, which don't really mean shite:

1st Unit DL

Diggs (4* .93 RS-SO), Turner (5* .99 SO), Jackson (4* .97 JR), Adeleye (4* .98 RS-FR)

2nd Unit DL

Burris (4* .94 RS-FR), Lucas (4* .98 FR), Raikes (3* .89 JR), L. Overton (5* .99 FR)

3rd Unit DL

Stewart (5* .99 FR), Nolen (5* .99 FR), Regis (3* .88 RS-FR), White (4* .98 FR)

4th Unit DL

Sylla (4* .96 FR) + some other guys I'd never heard of

Also:Brownlow-Dindy (5* .99 FR) is rehabbing an injury from the All American game but will return sometime this season.

Ours will be kind of young, but loaded with talent.

DJ Dale - Alabama
Ali Gaye - LSU
Colby Wooden - Auburn

3rd team:
Gerven Dexter - Florida
Masson Smith - LSU

I think probably LSU this year. Ojulari, Smith, Gaye, Roy, right off the bat. We will see how guys like Wiggins true freshman and Mekhi Wingo do.
Bama, Georgia, and A&M should be pretty good as well, A&M has lots of young guys though.

1. LSU
2. Alabama
3. Georgia
4. A&M
